I can't wait to see what Bey looks like after a an offseason in the weight room.

Hey score last game with a team high of 21 points, 8/13 FGM, 8 REB. Don't understand why there not starting Bey. He does so great crashing the boards, something I rarely see with the Mavs. His finishing around the rim is like butter, rolls in. Great hands to receive it in post. Which concerns me because Ricks system is mostly an inside-out rather than a outside-in system, and most of Beys offensive game is in the post.
Would want to see him run the offense, his passing and ballhandling needs to improve. Once he gets that, his bound for minutes in the Mavs rotation.

Bey's play reminds me of a young Draymond Green/Shawn Marion. Much rougher around the edges, but the talent is there. Hopefully he pans out and plays a big role in bringing something to the Forward spot for the Mavs.

Rookies looking good down there! And now excited to see Josh Green...good move to assign him there. I'd argue that they should have sent him there initially because he's just going to be wasted sitting on the bench. He hasn't played a meaningful game/big minutes in almost a year so you don't want him to be even rustier for next season.
We have the luxury of a farm system for once. Keep all three of them in the G-League for 2 years and then bring them up once they're ready and the roster has spots for them to get minutes. Half of the players currently in the rotation today will not be here 1-2 years from now

Can see the Marion comparisation. Don´t see Draymond at all. Feels like any versatile defender that can guard multiple positions is getting compared to him.
Marion had a really similar offensive game. Ellbow post ups, drives of the catch, floaters, hook shots and obviously pick and roll finishing. Also was just as or even more athletic.

I remember Marion being the sneaky great timing cutter that would clean up the glass and dunk on anyone.

He got pretty good at cutting by the end of his time here, for sure.
During his Phx days he played almost exclusively as a 4 (not many people realize this, I’ve noticed) and did most of his damage in transition.
He really should get more credit than he does for 2011. He changed his game more than anyone for that team. He became a fairly legit SF during his time here.
This is part of why I felt TBey would be a 4/5 on draft night - it took Marion until well into his 30’s to become more 3 than 4. If he hadn’t have landed with D’Antoni, a coach willing to play him as an undersized four and who recognized the benefits of doing so, I’m not entirely sure Marion would’ve made it in the NBA.
