I was terrified of Bane because of his tiny wingspan....
....then the Mavs said: WATCH THIS!
6' 1.75" wingspan

WOW
HUGE moves
Drafting Terry frees up Seth. Seth for JRich fills the roster’s biggest need
GREAT night!!

Terry is an absurdly good shooter. Great value at #31 even with the limited length. Ideal Seth-replacement.

Terry is an excellent pick who fits us greaty. He will have a role here.
I don't really care much about wingspan, many good shooters don't have big wingspan anyway.
I know there are a lot of stats about how small wingspan rarely succeed in the NBA
But I think you should consider selection bias as there is plenty of good NBA players don't have their wingspan listed or measured, and plenty of those didn't want it measured or come to public because it is sall.

I am OK with this as a Seth replacement.
Seth's wingspan: 6'4"
Steph's wingspan: 6'3.5"
Tyrell's wingspan: 6'1.75"
So he is STILL undersized compared to them, but I get the love minus him being a TINY dude. The size scares me, that is all.

I am not a fan of the pick honestly but had a feeling right away he would replace Seth and voila. Seth being gone is addition by subtraction so Terry stepping in to hit wide open 3's is not a tall task (see what I did there?) to take on; Terry just needs to play around 15-20 mins or so depending on game flow.

No he won't ever be on any all defense teams.
Curry wasn't either tho. I don't think it's a downgrade defensively there.
I think he will eventually have a higher upside than Curry tho. I think he eventually is a 15ppg guy. He's got a big more athleticism to him than Curry.
I said about a week ago I was down for Terry at 18 if the bigger names we liked didn't fall.
Seen lots of people on Twitter saying it's the steal of the draft.

Excited for the shooting potential of Terry, but how is he as a creator?
As it stands, Luka and Brunson seem to really be our only creators (Wright clearly doesn’t count), and we’re definitely going to need another 1-2 to have options so the offense doesn’t stall at the end of games this year. Even if Terry has potential in that role, doubt he’s going to be utilized doing that much as a rookie.

That's why I'm expecting another trade.
