Yeah I think my personal approach would be:
1) Get Hayes if at ALL possible.
2) Trade down for #25 and #28.
The depth in this draft makes it preferable to grab extra assets/picks if possible.

I just don't see the point of trading down for #25 and #28 and having a lesser pool of players you like than you would at #18, especially since you have #31.

1) The guys I like best are likely to still be available at 25.
2) You can then use #31 as a trade chip and still have two rookies in a very deep draft.

Because they're not really lesser players. Theyre in the same tier of players as what you would find at #18, except you get 2 swings at hitting instead of 1.
Frankly, I don't understand why I should be so much more excited about Killian Hayes than Bolmaro. They're both going to need 2 or 3 years before they're NBA rotation players, might as well let Bolmaro continue to get development minutes in the best international league that's like light years better than the competition that Hayes was getting empty numbers in.

That jump shot look pretty healthy. Maybe you just don't like the sound of Breen yelling "BANG".

I didn't say lesser players. I said a lesser pool of players you like. Pick your favorite at 18 instead of settling for your favorite of what is left over at 25 & 28. Maybe 18 would have been there at 25 but maybe he wouldn't be.

@"KillerLeft" let's make special note tonight to see if who the Mavs draft (assuming they keep the pick) is someone they have been rumored to be connected to OR if it is someone they managed to stay totally unconnected to.

I think you're missing the math part where 2 > 1.

I'm fine with Bey too.
Bolmaro last until 31? Think any team would take Brunson + 31 in exchange for their late 20s pick?
Honestly I don't know. There are probably 30 trades of each variation the Mavs can go with. But I really do think they are definitely going to make A trade. If its up to me I'd trade up to 14 and pickup Bey. In conjunction with a trade and extension of Hayward. Give Boston 18 and Wright and call it a night.
I really like Bolmaro too. He's my no.3 dude (but a clear tier below). He fits the draft and stash. I think some team will take him (probably OKC at 28) because they missed out on Pokusevski. If he's at 31 I take him no questions asked.
I wouldn't trade Brunson though. I think he has more value than just a small move up to take a prospect.

If you guys would just answer all of my questions immediately, I believe that would save us all a lot of trouble and inconvenience. Especially me.
I just watch espn because Woj is on there.
Also have Woj and Shams twitter up on the computer.

do we have the roster space to retain 3 guys if we pick 25, 28, 31?
or most likely one will be some stash if we make 3 picks

I would assume two roster spots plus 1) a trade of OR 2) a stash of the third pick.

Whether you like him or not... Him being available might be optimal for Mavs value. The more guys that slip to 18 the more likely the Mavs get a solid offer.
Perhaps a deal with OKC is Wright/Powell + 18 for Green and 25.

I would presume that Bolmaro would be one of the picks, and that he would be stashed.

I'd go with that... the two worst contracts off our books, still a shot at someone decent at 25.

I just don't see Presit taking on that much contractual obligation.
