What's the book on Dunn?

He´s a better fit than Beal overall.(11-16-2020, 07:04 PM)cow Wrote: No idea what Beal would do for them defensively, but with Bam hobbled in the finals, Beal would have been a godsend to generate easy buckets. Jimmy could have gotten more rest. (11-16-2020, 07:13 PM)KillerLeft Wrote: What's the book on Dunn?Very good defensively. Very bad offensively. Question is how much do you think he can improve next to Luka.

So I had time to listen to the Step Back Podcast w/ Donnie Nelson today. He was talking about THJ's relationship and how they (the Nelson's) were really close with Timmy's dad and with his agent Mark Bartlestein. I looked up his client list and he reps Hayward and Beal.
Donnie also made me believe they will keep their picks which means they will likely trade them...

Could see the Mavs being interested in Harrison on a minimum deal. He has good defensive #s and developing shooter. Depth guy who can play probably up to 3 positions as a 6'7 guard.
Bulls made him an UFA.
"Oddly, the Suns opted to make the trade immediately rather than wait until next week and try to use cap space on free agents. The Suns could have declined options on Cheick Diallo and Frank Kaminsky, renounced their rights to Dario Saric and Aron Baynes, and waived Elie Okobo, and had $16.2 million in cap room to pursue a power forward such as Paul’s recent Thunder teammate, Danilo Gallinari. Once the Suns had a free agent, they could have completed the Paul trade, use their room exception for depth, and re-signed guard Jevon Carter (who has a tiny $1.8 million cap hold).
Instead, the Suns forfeited their cap room possibilities and will be limited to their full mid-level exception in free agency. Phoenix can re-sign Baynes and Saric with Bird Rights, but neither of those guys are moving the needle; the Suns could find bench help that isn’t of much different quality with lower dollar exception money. One move to watch that would further send the Suns all-in but could change my perspective on the cap decision: Using the 10th pick in the draft plus Kaminsky, Diallo and Okobo to acquire another high-level starter." https://theathletic.com/2201448/2020/11/...ing-right/ So does that make Jevon Carter a possibility?

Can we afford Jeremi Grant? I'd prefer him over Gallo

They're letting so many people go, I'm starting to get cautiously optimistic about them going for as much cap space next summer as possible, and the implications that could have for LaVine.

I'd want close to the Clutchfans tweet package. As much as people love to bag on Harden, he's really really really good and signed for at least two more years.
Ben Simmons Josh Richardson at least 2-3 first round picks I dunno what Brooklyn can do unless Hou really loves Lavert and Jaret Allen.

New regime trying to offload the garbage. But hopefully it means Lavine is available. Chicago is doing what I would do and getting rid of stuff that isn't any use. I'm surprised Valentine got a QO. Trying to figure out the logic on that one...

If it's a straight up bidding war and other teams are willing to go in on it... Denver still has the most ammo of anyone. Dunn never proved he can be a lead PG, his lack of shooting is just killing offense. Think of him as worse version of Bledsoe. Elite defense but zero on offense. His elite defense is intriguing, but can't be more than specialist from bench. He is 26. Harrison is 27 and never scored more than 7 points per game. I honestly don't care who they bring for vet minimum... (11-16-2020, 08:24 PM)cjeter24 Wrote: I'm surprised Valentine got a QO. Trying to figure out the logic on that one... Yeah, I am also surprised by that. Looks like they see something in him |
