This is my trade big board of players that I think could be obtained by combination of Wright/Jackson contracts and picks:
1. Richardson (third team needed to provide value player for Philly, #18)
2. Oubre (#18)
3. Schroeder (#18)
4. White (only possible if they don't want to extend him, #18, they can dump other contracts to save money if they want)
5. Young (future 2nd(s))
6. Osman (#31)
7. Kennard (Jackson only, #18)
8. Snell (#31 or future seconds)
9. J.Johnson (straight up or future seconds)

With Wright and a future 2nd for Young or better yet, THJ/Wright/JJ/18 (established that this has to be done after the draft, time to pioneer a new type of trade) and a future second for OPJ/Young.

We ran out of bigs in the playoffs. 2 of our bigs coming off season ending injuries. Boban can play 15 min max. It’s important to have depth

I like Josh Richardson a lot. He should probably be a major target in 2021. I would imagine it'd be hard to pry him away from the Sixers. They are going to be trying to move Horford and/or Harris for better fitting parts.

I would be a fan of Oubre for Wright/Jackson/#18. Still only 24 years old and seems to fit the template of a long, athletic 2-way wing Mavs desire.
This trade was pitched to the LockedOn Mavs guys the other days and they dumped all over it. I haven't watched a ton of Oubre but he seems like a pretty good player. I know he has been injured a fair bit over the last few years.

Outside of Otto Porter and Oubre on the trade market and Crowder and DJJ on the FA market there’s not many realistic options that move the needle. Lots of guards and bigs to save the MLE for

I wanted to show up, that Rick would never play so few playmaking as in your depth chart.
But that's even better.

I was keeping the core, moving just Wright and Jackson. This trade proposal seems a bit Dallas sided with the picks. But I think it is realistic, Richardson didn't have a good run for Philly and I don't see them being able to resign him, unless owners are prepared to pay hundreds of millions of tax

Philly is certainly not moving Richardson for Wright/Jackson. What I would hope is to either find a third team, for example Detroit with Kennard or snatch Richardson from the team he gets traded to with Horford contract.

I don't like hearing that "he doesn't play defense" but Hield WOULD be "the better version of Burke" that @"DanSchwartzman" has been screaming for, I'm pretty convinced of that. He can create off the dribble on top of being a spacing threat. And, most importantly, I think he's realistically available.
I don't hate it. I might hate it in a few minutes when @"Kammrath" kicks the door down with a bunch of numbers and makes me feel like a 'tard, but for the time being, I don't hate it.

17-18: +2.69 (what a strange outlier of a number that makes no sense?!?)
This is all while the SAC TEAM ranked 20th, 20th, and 28th in NBA defensive rating during those years.
So yeah...Buddy has the chance to be a net positive if he is getting open looks (and I can be talked into acquiring him). But the chances of him being an impactful TWO-WAY player is virtually zero IMO.
Lol, typed just a bit too soon. I knew this was coming.
Was it the suggestion of Hield that offended you, or my joke? Because my joke was a Game of Zones reference and not meant to be offensive at all. I actually disagree, as I bet he has a bounce back year playing in the Mavs system which I think will maximize his strengths. Which will also maximize his trade value, which means I think we could get a good return in a trade. We'd be able to move him for expirings to free up the cap space in the event Giannis doens't sign his max deal.

Clippers screw it up next year and might be a chance KL or PG available. It’s obvious they lack chemistry. Harrell and Lou Williams can’t be played in 4th Q of playoff games. Doc is done. OKC just totally pillaged LAC and HOU. How ironic that both teams are missing a point guard with leadership and 3pt skills that can fit off ball if necessary and play defense. CP3 sweepstakes will be interesting. Makes sense why we would send out fake interest to drive the price up. This offseason and next has potential for blockbuster moves from desperate teams. Feels good we have the chemistry that these teams couldn’t buy

I’d love Leonard here - he’d be the absolute ideal solution to pretty much every problem this team has. But, I don’t think he picked the Clippers because he thought they were definite champions, I think he just wanted to move home and play in LA. I still give him a lot of credit for not jumping on with LeBron, and I think he’s a Clipper for the rest of his career.
Who even cares about George, at this point? Wouldn’t shock me if we start hearing some Lamar Odom type of stuff about him eventually, and I want no part of that.
Agree about the chemistry. It’s important that a sense of continuity from year to year is maintained from now on.

Chemistry will almost always be there for bargain bin players like we have on the roster because they are fighting to get and stay in the NBA. Donnie can and has been finding those reclamation projects. What he hasn’t been finding or getting to say yes in FA is the 2 way, know their role, starter players (star or otherwise). Let’s get those guys on the team, then fill in the bench if we have to.
I’m all about chemistry, have asked for it lots during Dirk’s career. However, you need the starting core first.

I agree chemistry is common here in Dallas, but I wouldn't call it a definite, regardless of the payroll.
Continuity is important. Time playing together is important. There will always be roster turnover, but hopefully no more than needed.

I don’t want to lose the guys who play well and create the good chemistry on our team, but I wouldn’t hesitate in the least, if we’ve identified a player of need that can start for us, to give up any of the guys we’ve confirmed should come off the bench on a contending team.
I get that people hated the Rondo, Toine, Odom, etc. trades, but the starting unit needs a pretty big uplift to be a contender IMO.
