If you bothered reading my posts, I'm fine with Klay being here if that's what he wants. He's been the consummate pro which is why I'd try to honor is wishes. On that note, time to try this boards ignore feature for the first time.

I normally favor "doing right" by people in various contexts. Who knows, maybe it could generate some genuine good will toward the FO from other players out there. But in the meantime, this is a business, this is an asset-starved and talent-starved franchise at the moment, and we need either what Klay can bring to the court, or the benefit he can bring back in trade, more than we need that good will. I would rather they hang on to him, play him when it makes sense, and have him mentor the young guys than giving Lebron, Steph, or whoever out there the satisfaction of getting him for nothing. If there's a buyout, it's horse puckey if it's anytime prior to the TDL, tbh.

I could be wrong, but I just don't think this version of Klay Thompson, given his age and salary number, hold a ton of value. If he wants to be here, great. If he wants to go somewhere else, I wouldn't mind helping him getting there. If we can get an asset back from that, great. If we can't, I'm fine with the good will.

This is where I am at. Do what you can to get a small asset, but if its clear its not happening then do him a solid and clear a roster spot.

I agree with this thinking.
Extra stars for the use of horse puckey!

2 ways would be Seva and Lawal.
The third one is a toss-up.
The only chance Poulakidas gets of a 2-way.
Is if Klay or Max would be out of the roster.

The Pistons are still evaluating the prospect of pursuing DeMar DeRozan in free agency, league sources say. It is not yet certain if Detroit will indeed join Toronto as a confirmed bidder for the six-time former All-Star guard, but The Stein Line did learn this week that the Pistons have been assessing the concept.

Brian Windhorst says the teams going after LeBron believe Miami is the BEST basketball fit: “If you look at Cleveland, the team the Cavs have is reminiscent of the Lakers team he’s leaving…. The Sixers have a number of ball handlers. The ball-handling role is wide open in Miami. The history is there in Miami. The star power is there in Miami… As I’ve had conversations over the last few weeks, Miami continues to make more and more sense to me… The more you talk about this with NBA teams, even the teams that are recruiting LeBron, the team they see as the basketball fit, it’s Miami.”

NBA insider Jake Fischer revealed that the Nuggets are searching for a new big man addition this offseason following Valanciunas' exit. "Denver needs another potential backup center after losing Jonas Valanciunas," Fischer said on Bleacher Report. "They waived him by their own decision, and he just officially signed in Lithuania. "They brought in Marvin Bagley to be a backup center, but I do still think there's some thought in Denver about finding some more frontcourt depth."

So it was confirmed he was going to Cleveland.
Then the betting odds favorite was Golden State.
Now Miami is the team that makes the most sense.

Denver is seen as an increasingly likely landing spot for former Grizzlies and Kings coach Dave Joerger. The Stein Line first reported in late June that Joerger had interviewed with the Nuggets in their search for a more experienced top assistant to head coach David Adelman.

In his latest Bleacher Report update, NBA insider Jake Fischer revealed that both sides have taken a significant step since the Pistons cleared key cap space via the Caris LeVert trade, which could be allotted to Duren's next contract. "There's been momentum and positive direction between Duren and the Pistons. And ever since that Caris LeVert trade for Taurean Prince and Gary Harris, that opened up the cap space for Detroit to give Jalen Duren his 25% max contract that he is looking for," Fischer claimed. "I do think they're getting close. That's my latest understanding of that situation. I don't know exactly how close or when to expect it, but definitely closer than before that trade. And I think that trade was indicative of some positive movement between Detroit and Jalen Duren."

Giannis talks about the number change from 34 to 7. 3+4= 7, and his mom’s bday is April 7. The main reason for the change is that 34 carries major weight with the Bucks, and out of respect for the Bucks, he changed his number. #Heat
