Interesting he mentioned Kyrie as an NBA champion but not Klay.

Morez listed as 6'11" and 243 on summer league roster I saw. Wonder if he is still growing.

He has C size. No problem at all.

With shoes on he's around 6-10 1/2 to 6-10 3/4

Excited for summer league! Really tough for me to imagine anyone topping Darryn Peterson's two games (on ball, of course - he had 12 assists in the second one) but this draft really was a good one.

It will be interesting over the next several years which of Utah, Dallas or Memphis rises to contender status….if any.

After the lottery, I had Utah in the best spot.  With Dallas and Memphis close if Memphis got boozer.  I think Dallas closed the gap with Utah a little bit but Utah is really well positioned with a lot of assets left.  I think Utah is closer to have their big parts filled and looking to ramp up.  I think Dallas and Memphis are still in the gathering stages.

Good to see all of our 4 picks are playing. Cant wait to see what their games look like. Ish and SDL are intriguing and TLs athleticism on display should be entertaining.

I was wondering if he was with the team when they were practicing. Even if he wasn’t playing. Hopefully he is with the Mavs in Vegas.

Morez Johnson Jr in his SL debut

27 PTS
8 REB
3 AST
3 STL
2 BLK
12/17 FG
7 Fouls

One of the best summer league debuts I’ve seen. Dallas got a good one.

Just watched the game again on Youtube. I recommend it.

I thought Ish really handled himself well when I first watched the game. The second time was even better. Smile

Usually you can justify your pre conceived opinions both good and bad with summer league.

Summer league overreactions are the best. Go check out the civil war battles on Clippers Reddit after one poor Wagler game. Ha. You have some calling him a bust while others say Shai and Brunson were bad in their summer leagues and then it is countless back and forth.

Of the top 10 draft picks, Rez probably needs the ball the least to prove what he can do. And still he managed 27 points.

I haven't seen Wilson play, but it appears the top 3 draft picks are studs. Acuff looks good too. I don't know how Burries is doing, and I think Brown missed a game or two because of injury. But after one game, it's pretty apparent that Johnson wasn't a reach at #9. If anything, he looks he could have gone higher.

Edit: Braden Burries stat line Summer League:

"In 16 minutes he recorded 12 points, two rebounds and one assist on 37.5% (3-for-8) shooting from the field and 25% (1-for-4) from the 3-point line".
