The salary part is actually quite ok, imho. But totally agree on the picks. They bet massively on Kessler and spend every remaining asset. What I don't understand is why they are letting guys like Kennard and Smart walk for very reasonable money. They still have 20 or so mil of cap space left, but since they spent every asset, they can't even exchange their bad salaries like Ayton, Knecht or Vando anymore (I think Knecht and Vando should go to Utah based on assets involved). They still have big holes on the roster to plug and no idea how they are going to accomplish that

Yes, it sucks their tanking paid of.    If Peterson works out, they are probably in the next tier behind OKC and SA and 1-2 others pretty soon.   Plus they still have a ton of assets.  Both in young players and future picks.

I can't believe the actual plan is playing Sandro at PF. That would really be a disaster, imho. Alternatives are Vando or LaRavia. Neither is a starter on a contender...

Maybe the plan is to play LUKA there, defensively. I always felt like that was his best defensive position. Would allow them to put more of these smaller athletes they're accumulating on the floor at the same time.

Neither is Grimes. Plus, their "Big 3" are all injury risks. Going to be interesting to say the least. I think there's a decent chance that team isn't even a .500 one next season.

Maybe he wanted his own team, and out of Utah. I mean they re-signed Nurkic, then Triple J can man the 4 or the 5, as well as Filipowski and they also have Oscar Tshiebwe.

For a team that just paid big bucks for what they consider a premium center, it occurs to me that LA has actually gotten functionally smaller, as things currently stand.

I guess we're meant to look at Cameron Carr as LeBron's replacement? Not literally or even in the same role, but...for most of his minutes?
