They just traded for him though.

"Multiple teams are strongly pursuing LaMelo Ball right now. The Hornets are engaged. Ball does want to be in Charlotte. If the price is met he could very well be on the move. This is a developing story potentially over the next 24-48 hours"

Guess who was a huge fan of LaMelo in the draft, and is the new GM of a team in desperate need of a PG, working for a team President who values positional size?

I'm not sure how I'd feel if this went down.  My initial gut reaction...

Don't worry - they won't do it. I was joking.

He's like the opposite of that age old adage "a player you love on your team but hate to play against".

You’d have to trade Kyrie to MIN and Ball to Dallas. No way Kai wants to play in Charlotte. Stuff from MIN to CHA.

He's so talented. Part of me has always wanted to see what he'll do as part of a non-clown franchise, but to your point it's probably safer to watch that experiment play out from afar.

Don´t think Mavs have the assets, even if they tried. Charlotte, Minnesota, Boston, Utah with stuff build around Brown, Kessler, McDaniels, Gobert, LaMelo.

My initial thought was Gafford and PJW, but I don't think it's very realistic.

Yeah duh, if they put Kyrie in it. Damn Masai, he already has my brain convinced Kyrie is untouchable. Big Grin Big Grin

Seemingly hasn't outgrown some of that goofy BBB mentality which is a shame.

Combine some rumors and you have the framework.

CHA: Gobert
MIN: Kyrie
DAL: Ball

Might not be popular here, but Ball is 24 and super talented while being a 6'7" pg. I would trade 34 year old Kyrie for him. I agree that Ball does some bonehead stuff on the court, but he has a lot of talent and size. Plus he's 10 years younger than Kyrie and fits the Flagg timeline. It's probably not happening, but sign me up if the only cost is Kyrie.

A big question would be if he wants to be here.

Hes a completely unserious player and I question his drive to win.

Cant imagine a more antithetical player to pair next to Cooper.

Minnesota Timberwolves have expressed a strong desire to acquire Charlotte Hornets star LaMelo Ball, league sources tell me. Hornets only listening to offers at the moment.

Getting the LaMelo Ball trade news from @ShamsCharania in the final couple minutes of the draft broadcast was like getting a prequel scene during the end credits of a Marvel movie. Stayed tuned, folks.
