To those who are upset, the real issue is Kidd and the previous regime having no clue and teams having more talent than the Mavs knowing how to tank properly.  It was literally only Burries left and if the front office were not sold on him, you can't blame them for going in another direction.  It's not like they had a plethora of choices and went and selected someone else randomly.

This is very true. Morez will almost certainly be an NBA player in 5-7 years down the road. It is a reach but at least a safe pick.

Finley, Riccardi and Kidd did a hundred times more damage with their shitshow last season. Not buying out Middleton, not sitting AD, not trading any veterans. They just left a huge mess to clean up I am not a fan of Morez this early but I can stretch myself enough to see why they went with a safe option here.
