Don't you?  Why?

I read this as Mark Cuban saying Mark Cuban was Boston's best player.

I agree. He's a GREAT secondary guy who works on both ends. Once he has his own team, the warts on offense will be more glaring and we'll start to notice the defensive end take a backseat (one of the many reasons I don't want the ball in Cooper Flagg's hands for 35 minutes each night).

I think this ends with Brown being comparable to Devin Booker. Maybe not even as good.

In the midst of a rebuild and over the first apron, barring an unexpected trade, the Sacramento Kings are expected to waive-and-stretch forward DeMar DeRozan, HoopsHype has learned. DeRozan’s $25.74 million expiring contract is only guaranteed for $10 million, which can be stretched over the next three seasons. Should DeRozan enter free agency as expected, the Los Angeles Clippers are expected to have interest in the California native, HoopsHype has learned.

With the Kings projected to take a point guard with the No. 7 pick in the NBA Draft, the chances of the franchise pursuing Ja Morant going forward are unlikely, HoopsHype has learned. This past season, the Kings were willing to acquire Morant if they were incentivized, but Memphis was uninterested in giving up draft compensation to move Morant, a two-time All-Star.

Booker has a much tighter handle and better stroke which puts his offensive game way ahead of Browns.  Does Browns defense close that gap?  I'd say no.

Right. And the whole reason they're doing this is because Brown has made it overtly clear that he wants to run his own team. He's about to have the ball in his hands 24/7, probably someplace stupid like Portland. "Brown's defense" is about to start sliding into afterthought territory, I believe.

I think this will eventually be fileable under "Be Careful What You Wish For."

Heat Central: We can probably take Norman Powell off this starting 5. The Heat are expecting him not to be there this offseason. Financially it’s going to be very difficult to keep him. They could participate in a sign a trade with Norman Powell…. They understand they have to fill this roster out. My understanding talking to people in Miami, shooting, shooting, and shooting.

In addition to moving up five spots into the late first round of the draft, another factor in the decision to trade Nic Claxton was the opportunity to free up more playing time for center Day’Ron Sharpe, sources told HoopsHype. Sharpe, the longest-tenured Net going into his sixth season at just 24 years old, impressed Nets brass last season and was lauded by coach Jordi Fernandez for his rebounding prowess. Sharpe is currently penciled in as Brooklyn’s starting center.

Yet Brown was scoring 28 ppg compared to 26 ppg for Booker and Brown did it on higher efficiency...

This was back when the Mavs played the Celtics for the championship.

I think he was trying to create dissension within the Boston locker room, since Tatum was generally accepted as the alpha.

Actually Booker had the better TS% and much better assist to turnover ratio.  Not sure how Brown was more efficient?

My brother is a Grizz fan and they are agonizing over the huge boulder that Ja has become on the team roster. Apparently SAC is just the latest to say "no thanks", joining MIN, CHI, NOP, and MIA in walking away.

Imagine if we were all still trying to figure out what the hell to do with AD as his salary balloons into the $60MM+ range next season.

Enjoy the ride, muchachos! With a little luck, we won't have to fret about the lottery for several years.

Brian Windhorst says Norman Powell will be GONE, unless he takes a massive pay cut: “They’re gonna lose their All Star, Norman Powell. Unless he takes a crazy discount. He’s gonna be gone… Andy Ellisburg their GM, is superior at his job. Erik Spoelstra, their developmental staff, I’m betting on the Heat. Just not in 2026-2027”

Hmm..

How are they going to shoehorn his $27m contract into their budget?

Would anyone like to entertain the idea of moving into the top 3 by taking on Morants contract?

Kyrie’s money is about the same.

So Kyrie for Morant + #3?

The Mavs just worked really hard to jettison just about all their negative contracts. Can’t see them making this move, even with the huge #3 carrot.
