One thing I will take away from tonight is that IF Dallas goes another direction with the 9 pick than guard, they are involved in a trade at some level with Brooklyn as the nexus. Mara/Ament, the two pieces in play outside of guards, are the type of pieces that roster is in need of at this point. I could also see a scenario where Dallas selects Mara and keeps him in order to move Gafford: Worst case scenario on the surface - Gafford to LAL; Reaves (S&T) to Nets; pieces to Dallas

That would require assets to move up to get one of those guys as you are probably not getting Ament at 12 in a trade down.  I think the Bucks trade makes it even more likely they take him if he is there.

We can at least lock in Quaintance as a major red flag, cause Hartenstein had a similar fall from late lottery to the 40s. That Quaintance didn´t get an green room invite and is now projected to the Mavs at #30. I still don´t want him.

Brown can fall to #8 simply by Burries to Clippers, Ament/Wagler to Nets, Acuff to Kings and he´s there without any injury concerns.

I wonder how many would like this post if they realized the implication behind this "growing anticipation"...you know, since it's because of Dusty May. 

I'll give you a hint: neither Lendenborg nor Johnson are going to go that high.

There was another report saying it does not look like the May hire will impact the Mavs draft.  Nobody knows anything.  I won't believe they draft Mara until they do it.  Then I will immediately start calling for Schmitz head.

Of course the Mavs leaked this for some sort of angle they are trying to play. They kept this secret for six weeks, but suddenly 24 hours before the draft it breaks. Come on. They could have easily kept it another 48 hours, if it benefited them.

Amount of smoke being tossed around this draft seems more than usual. I hope it lives up to the pre draft hype of all the potential trades. Be really wild to see a team trade into the top-4.

1) I don't think this will be successful in making him fall, which is clearly someone's intent in order to serve some unseen agenda. I don't think he makes it anywhere close to 8. 

2) If he IS there at 8 and the Mavs don't trade up to get him I will lose my mind.

Going from 30 to 8 after we spent the assets to go from 9 to 4 doesn't seem possible, buddy.
