Spurs need more forwards. Wemby can generally cover enough ground for them to run the 3 guard lineup they like to do, but they have very little forward depth.

I think their biggest need is an upgrade to Kornet. I'd happily sell them PJ if they want an upgrade at the forward spot.

PJ would fit like a glove there. With a lot of good teams actually. I’ve been mocking Allen Graves to the Spurs a lot more lately, because I think they’re missing that kind of big Wing.

If I can get Carter Bryant and other throw ins to make the trade work for PJ or Gafford, I'd be all over it. It'll help both teams.

But Pat Riley and the Heat aren’t just watching defensively—they are actively plotting an aggressive counter-offensive. According to internal league sources, if a deal can be struck to bring the Greek Freak to South Beach, Giannis would sign an extension instantaneously with the Heat. He views Miami’s culture as a pristine tactical fit capable of extending his championship window indefinitely. To weaponize this pursuit, Miami is quietly evaluating who they can liquidate to assemble the ultimate asset puzzle. The goal is singular: preserve superstar big man Bam Adebayo at all costs to form a devastating two-way frontcourt. Sources indicate that high-level organizational discussions in Miami have even floated the name of Los Angeles Clippers superstar Kawhi Leonard as a potential high-leverage piece in a multi-team framework to inject the ultimate championship punch alongside a Giannis-Bam pairing.

They will need more. Miami is notorious for finding hidden gems. Giannis and Bam are awesome. Although, they are not the perfect match. They need to find some guards and shooting. It feels like they are still missing a few pieces. Although, I guess Miami's thought is we will get the star and figure it out. They typically do when they get a star.

I think Reaves stays in LAL, but it is going to cost them. From the Athletic. If true, a guard at 6 for Brooklyn seems less likely. Even if they don't get Reaves, right?

Miami not mentioned? from the Athletic
[Amick] The Celtics, Timberwolves, Trail Blazers and Magic are among the Giannis Antetokounmpo suitors. Giannis Antetokounmpo would be willing to sign a four-year $275 million extension with Boston. Jaylen Brown would get flipped to a third team for young players and picks.

So per chat, it appears a potential deal is Giannis to Boston, Brown to Portland, MIL gets their picks back, maybe a pick or two from Boston and a Portland young (Scott and/or Sharpe)

wolves really like Beringer. If you watch a four minute highlight tape, you would think he is a future all pro. A lot to work with. Sounds like both Randle and Gobert are both available as they look to re-tool.
The Timberwolves have made Joan Beringer and Jaden McDaniels untouchable in trade talks, per
@TheAthletic
“considering McDaniels’ immense value alongside Edwards as an elite perimeter defender, as well as his impressive postseason performance, team sources say Minnesota has indicated that McDaniels is off limits. Per those sources, the same goes for 19-year-old big man Joan Beringer.”

So Myles Turner was awful last year....I mean really bad. I can't imagine any team giving any asset for him this year with multiple years left on his contract.
So question, if the Mavs moved Gafford would you take him off MIL hands as they appear to start a rebuild? If so, what contracts would you offer? Assume no picks are coming back from MIL as they are in a accumulating stage.

Would love to swap Gafford for Turner. Isn't he also a local kid? I am really hoping for trades like this where we move guys like Gafford, PJ, Naji, etc for better fitting pieces or draft assets.

I don't think Turner fits in DAL, unless you see something I don't. You could maybe swap Johnson and Martin? ~$23M outgoing vs ~$26M incoming. Would that trigger a hard cap? Does it matter if it's done in the current plan year?
IMO, if DAL moves Gafford, they will have a plan to fill in the gap. Maybe promoting Cisse, maybe re-signing Bagley, maybe with another FA signing, maybe with a draftee.

He can stretch the floor and give Flagg a lot more room to operate in the paint. Also a good shot blocker on the other end. He is an ideal fit IMO.

Turner would be a way better fit than Cisse or Bagley. I would love to see some 5 out with Flagg, and Turner can protect the rim. Rebounding would be a concern.
