That 2nd quarter was LIT for a regular season game. I'm watching on tape delay so I can forward through commercials.

Danny Green and Pat Beverley would have been a great offseason.
18 points in the 3rd quarter. 5 made 3s.

The league is ours. You heard it here first.

It's not surprising considering how they gutted the roster for one guy, but man, the Lakers have zero depth.

Wasn't able to watch much last night, but looking at highlights, there were some great plays in both games. Three of the four teams are ranked above or equivalent to our Boys in Blue, so I was interested in what over reaction this tiny sample size enables. It's a new season, we've been waiting since last January to see our new team on the floor and nothing has been proven yet.
Looking at the stats, nothing really stands out as OMG. Siakam and VanVleet had a good lines, Lowery was inefficient from the field and got half his points off FTs, but they don't appear to have a lot of support. Those minutes don't look sustainable to me. NOP played a good team game and just ran out of steam at the end. Melli looks interesting and may bear watching. Combined with Redick, they may have some nice long range artillery. Noticed they started 2 PGs, 1 SG, 1 SF and 1 PF. Thought it was a Carlisle team for a minute. LBJ and AD combined FG% of 37.5 (14% 3pt FG) wasn't great, but Green was blazing from long range. Other LALs didn't contribute much. LACs looks like the starters are all about defense, feeding Leonard and letting the bench beat up on the opposition. Over all the LACs looked like the class of the night, mostly due to bench strength. For those "experts" who put DAL behind LAL and NOP for the playoffs, the first game didn't show much to concern me.

LAC is the only team that "scares me" as a Mavs fan that I saw last night.
