Yeah sure helped Hardy that they tried to make him a PG.
I also don´t think they put him in umcomfortable positions as his passing and decision-making were by far his best assets in this game.

Probably more than he will see in the NBA, at least until the games start to matter, and he handled it fairly well. Lots of fouls drawn, not a single turnover, I don't think.
Only 1 turnover which was a travel from a jumpstop.
He didn't turn it over at any point due to ball pressure or running the offense. Seriously impressive.

Ajinca (groin) is out for Thursday's Summer League game against the Lakers, Grant Afseth of DallasHoopsJournal.com reports.
Thanks. I was wondering about that.

Mavs had a contingent out there. Kyrie, max, Marshall, Omax, Hardy. Interesting.

Bro y can be an nba player. Seems like a good kid. Just going to need time.honestly I don’t know if the g league is best for development. Maybe more college. If he can shoot open threes I think he sticks around for a bit. Just needs to wait for that.

I think right now, you want Cooper Flagg to play the Aaron Gordon role. Run Run Run. Defend. Be the tertiary playmaker. Shoot open shots.
I think between Luka leaving and the Mavs unbalanced roster, there is a rush to make him something he isn't.

It was also good for Cooper to go against Bazley. No idea if he is a good defender but did pretty well on Cooper. Those are the type of guys he will need to get comfortable with. Those long athletic wing players. Every team has those type of players.

Well Nembhard was the MVP of this game and I would say he has looked like a stud waiting to happen with an all around great PG tool set to use and able to handle himselg under pressure.
The best part to me was how he handled the late game pressure and took control in clutch time. That was very much a veteran move and a sign of VERY HIGH BBIQ . Is there a replay anywhere. Used to be there would be replays of these summer league games. Got to watch that last few minutes.

I know it’s only summer league, and it’s only one game….but we may have gotten a steal with Nembhard. He really stood out for all the reasons above, and he made shots too.

I remember when I watched OMax in summer league two years ago and solidly believed he was going to be a significant aspect of the Mavs' future. Sigh, those were the days.

I thought he was arguably our 3rd best guy on the court. He was everywhere hustling. He sprinted back every time down on defense even if there was no chance at a play just because he wanted to try and make a play. Offensively he always made the right read and made solid, simple passes. The real thing to write home about was his fantastic 3pt shooting ability. Seriously a sniper.

Some of you criticizing Flagg after one Summer league game. If he had gone 10-21 he would have had 20+ points. Other than his shot, which is fine, he played well. Good thing some of you are not

Nembhard was a little loose with the ball, even without contact. That's not good if you are small. He needs to have full control of the ball at ALL TIMES. I remember complaining about JJB pounding the rock having the ball too much, luckily Nembhard isn't like that, but Nembhard should learn complete control of the ball like it is part of his body. I was never concerned with JJB losing the ball on a dribble move, with Nembhard's (at least in this game) I was waiting for it to happen.
But I do like Nembhard, he should be on a 2-way, could improve to dislodge Exum in a few months, but that's a tall order for a short dude.

I think last years ROY was 0-12 or something like that. Flagg had a better handle than I expected, but he doesn’t look like a dominant offensive talent or a good rebounder. He mainly needs to figure out his three point shot and combine that with good playmaking and solid defense. That would be enough for now. He’s only 18.
