Nico Harrison + Rick Welts Season Ending Press Conference
#41
Words by a man who watch home games from the tunnel with bodyguards... That's pretty hilarious. Really.

Boycott the games until those puppets are out of the state.

His answer: „No“

Welts comes off as someone who was part of GS becoming a year in and out title contender. He traded Ellis for Bogut, who was like the 1st brick layed towards them being a competitive team. But they didn't take off until Bob Myers became GM and POBO.

Did anyone ask him why dallas is worse defensively after the trade?

This man doesn't have a real motivation for the trade because he is not him who decided it. He is a scary puppet tight now.

Tim McMahon on Nico Harrison press conference yesterday

“This thing is dark in Dallas and it’s going to get worse. This is going to be a 90s type of disaster of a franchise in Dallas”

Guess you can call me a bad fan but I hope the team is even worse next year with more chaos.
I don't want Nico/Dumont to be rewarded at all

It's not a hope but reality. This team is a mess.

Btw: MacMahon & Cato arent overly popular around here but reading how they grilled this douche with their questions is a blessing for all Mavs fans.

MacMahon also kept trashing Harrison on Windy‘s podcast & even got a bit emotional.

Harrison truly angered almost everybody involved with the Mavs. Karalla and Stein also keep going after him constantly in their podcast appearances / on twitter.

He is also the guy who first said he didn’t understand the backlash at trading away Luka and then now compared the Luka trade to trading away Monta.

So I am not giving him much of a credit on anything in the past right now.

even up until a week ago MacMahon was still playing nice with the Mavs' front office and deflecting the negativity
I think they've done something behind the scenes to anger him directly.
Or maybe he's just trying to sell some books. But I'd bet on the petty side

Wow, reading those Cato and Mcmahons exchanges are just awful. I mean just brutal. Both are simple questions where you should have a planned response. Was no prep done? His only canned response is defense wins championships? Just brutal.

One thing I always found weird was his awkwardness. He was billed as a relationship guy. I wanted him to be good so maybe I thought he just wasn’t use to the media. But it has been 4 years. His interviews seem like he is a high school student going into a big exam and hasn’t studied at all. His interviews when Brunson left were a mess too. No smoothness. You would think he would be at least a little smooth to effectively manage a response and not walk into a pile of poop with each question.

I am starting to think he was doing stuff to Luka behind the scenes but not effectively communicating with Luka and his team. I wonder if it was a sick theory that it was not a super max concern for Nico but we were approaching a point where Luka’s team said it was either him or Nico and Nico made a decision thinking he was bigger than the player and wanted to eliminate that potential problem. Sort of eliminate his perceived threat before it got there.

Nico is going to be muttering non stop those 2.5 quarters in a retirement home to everyone in a reitesnt home some day.

In his own words Nico is only concerned about the next 3, maybe 4 years. Why would any owner trust him with any move. The damage is already done but he could make this a wasteland for 10 years plus easy if he keeps the keys.

Luka winning series against OKC and the Wolves  deep in the playoffs < AD winning 2.5 quarters against the Rox in a regular season game. What a bozo this guy is. A healthy team with AD replacing Luka doesn’t win either of those two playoff series. This is not hating on AD. It is just the reality that AD is not at Luka’s level in terms of what he brings.

Giannis, Tatum and Jaylen should all have been traded away by their respective teams if coming up short in a Finals was the criterion.
