Just craziness. I think the book on Booth has been out for a while. He took over a team that the previous GM put together and then made some solid moves and won a title. I think most of the fanbase has been out of him the last two seasons though. Seemed to get a big ego with his early success (boy does that ring a bell) and really didn't think it was beginners luck. I have been pretty hard on him. Actually losing KCP was not a big loss though. Bruce brown loss hurt, but i believe he was signed for a number that Denver could not match. I think his inability to find replacements is what did him in. I have no problem letting him go now.

I do have a issue with Malone being let go. He is a bit ornery and I imagine can be difficult to deal with. He is also a championship winning coach. It makes no sense to get rid of him now. Get rid of him in the offseason if they flame out. Just crazy owners nowadays.

I agree. To let him go now in the middle of the playoff race is non-sensical. They obviously followed the Memphis playbook. I do wonder if the players were tired of hearing Malone's voice? He can be condescending at times, but still a very good coach.

The ownership should trade Jokic to Dallas for AD and a FRP!

I actually get the Malone firing. Jokic is the best player in the NBA for the past half decade, hands down. They have a roster to be contenders in the West even if they are behind OKC.

If they think Malone won't deliver in the playoffs, then gamble with change

Jokic is a free agent in two years....or the time when Lebron probably quietly exits stage left. hmm........

Malone or Jenkins and Lindsey as GM.

Those moves can fix this mess. Maybe.

Kind of hoping that our new CEO Rick Welts can talk our new owner Patrick Dumont into letting Nico go and replacing him with Bob Myers.

Wow, that is just crazy. Sure Denver was sort of in a dead end and perhaps they hope this gives them enough fuel for another run. Booth overpayed MPJ and Murray, but I am not really sure he had an alternative. He let Brown and KCP walk, but paying them salaries they got would be even worse, so I can't really blame him for that.

And then hiring Malone or Jenkins.

I'd feel a lot better than I do currently.

OP— please change thread title to “Nuggets Fire Michael Malone.” Dont want another flare up of his short man’s complex.
