Hah! I missed that one from Sken's list! Genius!

Aguirre is a good one, too. Before my time as a fan but I vividly remember one of my teachers telling me "I'm glad the Mavericks got rid of Aguirre - he's a ball hog and has a terrible attitude."

Shawn Bradley tops my list. I had forgotten all about the Chandler Parsons era until I saw his name in this thread but I think I would put him 2nd. Then Doug Christie and Derick Fisher would be my 3rd and 4th I think. He's not in my top 4 or even my top 20 most hated mavs, but I just want to say that I hate JJ Redick.

Kurt Thomas? I remember good things about him, but maybe that was too far back into my younger days to appreciate what you're talking about. What didn't you like about him? Bad on the court? Attitude?

Back in February of 97, the Heat traded Thomas to the Mavs for Mashburn with a few other players involved. The Mavericks were horrible back then and Thomas hated playing for them. He also reinjured his foot/ankle after coming to Dallas, an injury which had been a chronic problem for him. He ended up leaving in free agency for the Knicks after that season. On his way out and shortly thereafter he said some stuff which wasn’t too kind about Dallas. I remember Nellie not being too happy with him either. I also remember buying an autographed Kurt Thomas ball after they traded for him and was pissed when he left a few months later! Ironically, that ball just turned up the other day as I think one of my kids pulled it out of a cabinet. (Never had the heart to get rid of it….I collect a lot of sports memorabilia lol)

I think Thomas has turned the page at this point, as i read an article recently where he was praising what the Mavs did this spring with their trades and playoff performance.

I always loved Aguirre. He wasn’t the most friendly of folks, but he was an assassin on the court! He was a bit of a ball hog, but when we traded him for Adrian Dantley, that was the beginning of the end for that era of Mavs basketball.

Dominique Jones is another one. Him and Kris Humphries.
Find me at Lakersball.com. I'm done with the Nico and the Mavs.
