So how exactly Boby (31), Curry (29) and Wright (27) fit into this? :-) There are actually only 5 out of 15 players that are under 26 on this team. If under 26 would be a goal this summer, there were many interesting options. But I guess none was good enough :-) It is really difficult for me to understand, how people can be satisfied with our summer, if the results directly contradict their expectations. Gosh, I promise I'm not following you around just to disagree with you, but...I just happen to completely disagree with you about everything we've talked about so far!! You've chided the Mavs now for "not getting established players" AND for "having players over 26". That doesn't seem consistent. I've always thought that you need age diversity on a roster. I want young players for sure, but the young need some older guys around actually. And Luka and KP aren't going to play with the same 13 guys for their entire career. There will be roster changes each and every year. I think the goal should be to maintain age diversity throughout our stars' run together. A team always needs some vets. And a team always needs an influx of youth.

Might be we disagree, but this is a ground for a debate :-) You claimed that it is great that Mavs went young. I just stated facts that it is not really true they went young. I didn't provide my own opinion about if it is good to go young or not. Actually, you could understand through my tone that I could be more or less satisfied with any reasonable direction, as long as they would utilize all available assets. Either they would go old or young, I could find arguments that suppport the chosen direction. I can't find arguments supporting the direction of not doing anything, which is what our offseason was with regards of not spending some 15-27 million more that could be spent. Therefore I appear only when arguing statements how our offseason was great. I am mostly worried about risks. If the plan doesn't work and our season will be a failure due to any reason (even injury), Mavs will have a very hard time improving. We have very limited tradeable assets and there are plenty of young exciting teams around the league that could be appealing to good free agents if they have a solid season as Clippers and Nets did last season, for example. We will regret greatly not spending our cap for any kind of assets in this case. The only thing Mavs can do is sit with fingers crossed and hope everything clicks near perfectly. Personally, I don't really like this kind of situations in real life. Look at Atlanta for example. They went smart as you claim Mavs did. They didn't overpay for any free agent as they want to see how their young core will develop. Great, I approve. However, they got a pick for their cap space - they were probably aiming for more but no opportunities happened. But clearly this was their strategy. They have three high expiring contracts. Either they trade midseason or have huge cap room next summer. What was Dallas strategy on the other hand? It appeared to be saving cap space for free agents, which in the end they weren't able to spend.
