This is going to be fluid for the rest of the season. Mavs go on the road at the end of next week. The 6-10 spots will Flip-Flop in both conferences.

The battle to not play the Suns in round 1 is going to be wild. Mavs should just win as many games as possible and avoid the play in. Luka owns the Sons.

After tonight, MIN and GSW both lost. Biggest shock, Clippers lose at home to Orlando!!!!!!!! Westbrook shot 5-14.
Mavs just a game back now from 5th????

The West is wild right now… Nobody seems to be able to peak at the right time and get in a groove heading towards the playoffs. Could result in either the most exciting or the worst played playoffs in a long time - because no team knows how to play good basketball consistently.
It‘s hard to imagine another team than Denver, Boston, Milwaukee or Philadelphia winning the title, but many stranger things have happened. Fun times ahead, hopefully for our Mavs as well!

Have to disagree with you on one team. The Kings have been consistently good all year, but people overlook them on purpose because of a lack of experience. Wrong move. They're good.

Thanks for your reply. I guess the Kings can win a series or two, similar to our success last year, but I don‘t think they can go all the way in their first playoffs in forever, because playoff basketball is a completely different challenge. Memphis had to learn that last year.

Speaking of Denver, I'm not so sure they're going to do well this playoffs. Just read a stat that said every single champion of the last 43 years has had a winning record on the road. It even applies to the 4 teams that didn't follow Phil Jacksons 40 win 20 loss rule.
This year is as follows:
Nuggets - 17-18 on the road
Grizzlies - 14-22
Cavs - 16-20
Suns - 15-20
Mavericks - 14-21
Warriors 7-29
Bucks - 22-13
76ers - 22-12
Celtics - 23-14
Kings - 22-13
Knicks - 22-14
Nets - 20-18
Clippers - 18-18
Only the Kings and Knicks have better road records than home records. I really do think the champion is either the Bucks, 76ers, or Celtics just based on talent.

Yeah it will be Interesting. They are in a bit of a rough patch lately. Jokic is so good, but there are legitimate concerns if they can provide any rim defense.
Also they are counting on Porter jr who has not done it before. At times, he is great. Other he can really struggle.

Interesting stat, thanks for sharing. The Warriors road record is crazy!
From a talent and consistency level one of the big three from the East should make it, I think so as well. But if they’re in dogfights with each other and one or two crucial injuries occur it could possibly end like last year with the Warriors, that a fresh team from the West that walked into the finals - Denver or maybe the Suns as the ultimate wildcard - could have a very good chance.

Somebody already mentioned it, but with the way Wiseman has been playing, plus Duren, Bagley III and maybe even Wembanyama, Stewart must be very high on the trade list.

Detroit has the market cornered on young talented bigs. Plus they just signed Eugene Omoruyi. I'm sure they'll make a trade or two.

Austin Reaves might be a star. At this point, I can't even be surprised at how good he is - he can score, pass, and shoot. He might be on that Steve Nash track to being an All-Star someday. Maybe not the MVP Suns Nash but the Mavs version.

Yeah, he is really good. Plays winning ball too. He is a free agent after the season. What type of $ do you expect him to get? Would that eat into the Lakers potential cap space? I think he at least gets MLE salary. If I was a bad team with cap space, I might prioritize him over an older player. He probably stays in LAL, but his $ keeps going up.

If Wiseman is legit, Stewart appears to be the odd man out. Although, they would probably dump Bagley for nothing to at least open up minutes for Stewart, Duren and Wiseman. It would be a tight fit though, but would give them more time to make a decision.
Detroit and that front office has to start winning though. I think that is one of the reasons they kept Bogdonavich. They were suppose to be better this year. Not sure if they would have much interest in a future first round pick for Stewart. They have some really interesting young talent, but they are at the point where they need to be more competitive next year.
