Luka and Wood get the game going with offense and spacing with the rest. Not sure I like Powell starting there though.
Then Din off the bench. If we could only replace Hardaway with a connector type (Conley type), than I would like that rotation. That is probably not realistic so we just have to hope Hardaway can become a reliable, goodish player again.
At the expense of possessions?
Firm pass from me.

It's because Powell is such a great rim protector.

That's because most of them are not NBA starter level talent.

I saw an awful lot of wide-open shots that didn't go in.
...and repeated attempts to drive to the rim that got swatted.

Instead of hoarding capspace they are waiting two years for a pick to convert. You f*cked up the last two big asset trades (Rondo/Porzingis). Why should we expect this one to go any better?
I have a feeling we´ll be the team that will grossly overpay for Durant next year and then you better win the title immediately, cause just like Porzingis the data is not your friend. Only 16 players in the NBA right now 35 or older. Only one player is averaging more than 13 PPG --> LeBron on the 3-10 Lakers playing sieve defense. Only two averaging more than 5 RPG.
You are conveniently ignoring the Luka trade because it does not fit your narrative. The reality is this team has a mixed bag trade history with the Luka and Dirk trades being the best moves they have ever made. The free agent history has a complete disaster. Has there been any big wins there? Ever?
So plan powder was always doomed from the beginning, especially considering the higher frequency of extensions making it even more difficult to be successful in free agency.
The pick trade route, while not ideal, is the only reasonable option they have left because of all of the fuckups. But history says there is at least a chance thy get it right (they have multiple very good trades in the past along with stinkers). It provides some hope where plan powder provides none.

great watch. what's painful though is that several times in the video, you can see Luka was creating wide open shots and his teammates keep bricking them.
