Yes, but is that because no one wants turner? I don't think so. I just think that they have been asking for 2FRP's and a good player. If they have Ayton, they might be more motivated sellers?

Turner + McConnell for THJ + Bertans would be lovely, then turn Powell into Sexton or White, but
Turner + McConnell for THJ + Powell could be the trade both sides can agree on.

Question is what kind of contract. Based on my understanding of the rules he is still two-way eligible but it´s unlikely that he is coming back for a non guaranteed or two-way deal.

Do they really think Luka and Dinwiddie can play 40 MPG in the regular season with Tyler Dorsey as the primary back-up?
Or will Retirement Home Cuban suddenly entrust 28-30 MPG to Ntilikina/Green/Hardy.
Maybe Cuban is really broke. Question is: broke enough that he has to sell the team?

On the surface, it would be a really weird final roster move. I hope it is not a "well, we are done here" Mavs decision.
It would be a weird second to final move too imo.
Now if we had 3 roster spots available, ok fine. I can't tell you much about the player. But I don't think he fits the wing the Mavs have mentioned. I also don't think he is your third creator the Mavs have a big hole currently.

Hmm, 6-5 scoring guard, wonder how he'll fit into the team with Dinwiddie and Hardy having similar profiles, and THJ, Frank and Green also needing some minutes at SG. Makes me think that some of these guys are gone in a planned trade.

Not as much of a playmaker. More like THJ. High volume 3-point shooter.

Yeah, given the Gobert haul, I imagine it is two future firsts if Turner is willing to extend. However, the 120% rule would cap him at $21mm. I think he'd get more on the open market next summer. If so, not being able to extend is a ding to his value. Does Indy want to include 30 year old McConnell in the outgoing? With Hield, they have no use for THJ.
I posted yesterday that Brunson's outgoing plus Green gets you to a match for Turner. Powell/Green doesn't quite get there. Powell/Brunson would match Turner/McConnell (as would Powell/Brunson/Green). To me, this would be more pick based than anything from a talent standpoint. The question is how many.
If they wait to deal Turner until after landing Ayton, this would drag on a few more days. Of course, it would probably be easier for everyone involved for Indy to just ship Turner to Phoenix (or Brooklyn in a KD trade). Of course, if that was easy, it would be done and we wouldn't have the talk of an offer sheet.

Latest quote from Fischer on him:
"Myles Turner has not generated significant traction on the trade market this offseason."
I personally think Turner isn't nearly as desirable to NBA teams as he is to people on this board.

I personally think Turner isn't nearly as desirable to NBA teams as he is to people on this board. Because, in the last 2 years, every team has offered what they’re gonna offer. No need to rehash.

It’s the same with any player in Tor, esp Siakam.

This...Pacers are asking for a solid player and two firsts. No team is offering more than one first round pick. End of story.

Which honestly doesn’t make sense to me considering what they accepted for Brogdon. I think the two players are close to the same value and I think Brog’s deal was a bit low.

....and taking McConnell´s contract equals the value of a 1st round pick.
$26.1M / 3 years left with 21.8 guaranteed for a player that is inferior to Raul Neto, who just signed a one year minimum deal.
The Pacers also have Ayton, Bitadze and Smith, who all take clear priority over Turner on an expiring.
I just don´t see where the value is coming from.

Hoops Hype’s Michael Scotto on asking price for Myles Turner trade Wrote:“The Pacers are seeking two first-round picks or a promising young player and a first-round pick in exchange for Myles Turner, the NBA’s top shot blocker.”

Pacers rumored asking price in january and march. Don´t think that changed.
Quote:Scotto indicates that the word around the league is that Turner could fetch a non-lottery first-round pick if dealt by the Pacers this season.

What the rest of the league thinks.

THIS is what I remember (you said above "a solid player and two firsts"....this is a solid player + one 1st OR two 1sts.
I also think teams always seek the best case scenario at first, knowing they will have to come down a notch.

I personally read that as what the asking price dropped to. I bet the Mavs could have gotten Turner for what they got CW for.
I think IND will be lucky to get a 1st for Turner at all.
I of course could be wrong and all it takes is one bidder, but I think Turner's value and even IND's asking price isn't different than CW by much.
And I personally would take CW over Turner all day long, everyday.

I would have loved Turner before we had 3 centers on the roster, not sure why we're even talking about this now. He'll probably get traded eventually but it won't be to the Mavs
