Reading Hollinger's take on Kamagate, he doesn't sound like a potential Mav target. My takeaway is that he is years away, and the Mavs would see him as little more than a potential roster-clogger, so they won't bother.
He’s slightly built and doesn’t really rebound like a five, plus his instincts as a roller are pretty questionable if he has to do anything besides dunk. Historically, European bigs who became anything in the pros have usually crushed a league like this by their age-21 season; Kamagate didn’t meet that bar. Meanwhile, French leagues historically aren’t great places for player development, either, which puts a dent in his stashability. That said, he has a size-bounciness package that should get his foot in the NBA door, so he’s worth a late-second-round lottery ticket.

I was listening to the Bill Simmons Podcast and he had a Knicks fan on. Of course the Knicks fan thinks the basketball world revolves around them. He made the case the Knicks need a lead guard and wants them to trade up to 4. His offer to Sacramento was #10 this year, next years first and Obi Toppin. Just trade talk and no intel. I doubt they can get up to 4, but interesting offer.
Charlotte is interesting tonight. They don't have a coach, so it is tough to make a big move without that being wrapped up. For awhile there has been talk that they will have a fallback option at 13 or 15 to take a center. It is no secret that they need to find a center via the draft or trade. Now there is at least a chance that Duran and Mark Williams are both gone by 13. Probably unlikely both are gone, but a chance. If that is the case, does Myles Turner fit the style their future coach wants? It will be interesting if they target a center in the draft. Do they try to move up a few spots using both picks?

Could be future NY pick or 2023 Dallas pick. Interesting thing about that is it could be Sacramento that Dallas would deal with if they ever wanted to remove the protection from our 2023 pick. I'm not sure you remove protection now unless you need to trade 2025 for some reason. Better to do it like Miami did...at the TDL once you have a pretty good idea you are not going to be a lottery team.

He mentioned a protected top 3 pick. Things could go haywire next year, but as of now that Dallas pick is probably viewed as a late first round pick. Maybe a top five protected Knicks pick and the Dallas pick? If they really wanted Ivey.
I was thinking who is going to be the tanking teams next year. Is it still OKC? Next years draft is suppose to be really impressive. A lot can change in the next year, but next years draft also may have the next big draft prospect evaluators have been waiting for. If true, you would expect 4-5 teams to look to extend their rebuild for at least another year. Who are those teams though?

I have spent very little time evaluating the top of this draft. I watched Paolo play a lot and saw Chet play a handful of times. I am pretty surprised that Jabari has gotten so much love as the top pick in the draft. I think I prefer both Paolo and Chet over him. I am not saying Jabari is terrible and he could certainly be the best of the group. But there are just a few things that concern me about him that would drop him to at least third for me.

Interesting. I wonder if it is a trade up for Houston then? Houston offers 17 and maybe 26 and get their man. Orlando probably still gets Jabari and additional assets. Although, they already have a few second round picks. So maybe that doesn't interest them and decides not to gamble on who makes it to 3.

LaRavia is going to be good, have a solid and confident feeling about that.

Well the Lakers got pick # 35 from Orlando for cash and future second round pick. It may look like picks in that range may be available. I was looking more in the 40's.
