Give 1 player from that list to this roster, while having a draft pick it's perfectly ok to me to next TDL.
I think the fastest way to get that defensive anchor is going to be through the draft.
Don't really think that is true. Bigs take a long time to develop and we will be picking well outside of the lottery. We have our pick, Green and salary filler to work with. That is probably enough to get a defensive starting center, but if not we will have access to all of our picks after the 23 draft.

Top 5ish realistic guys these summer I'd be targeting in no particular order:
- Richaun Holmes
- Mitchell Robinson
- Jusuf Nurkic
- Myles Turner
- Sneaky choices that also make the cut are Jakob Poeltl and Clint Capela but I have no clue if they are even available.
- I guess I'd throw in Wendell Carter Jr. as a wildcard too.
Top 5 guys I just would like as a center- Ayton
- Adebayo
- Jokic
- KAT
- Gobert
I'd be all in on having an offseason that saw us replace DP/Max with Turner/Holmes. Ayton is so perfect for DAL that I hate to even contemplate it.

One or the other is probably the best bet. It's not like A) getting both is possible or B) they could play together.
As @"DanSchwartzgan" suggested, getting one of those guys using a package starting with one of the extra wings is probably the way to go. I think Holmes is much more realistic, but would prefer Turner, obviously.

Agree, although I do worry about Turner's lack of rebounding. I think I would prefer Capela to Turner for that reason, and a little concerned about the foot injury.

Capella would be amazing, although each time we one-up the target we get further away from what's possible, imo.

Capella, it could be possible.. Hawks has Okongwu and Collins playing a lot of minutes at 5, both younger, and in the forums and trade posts I've seen, they give it a slightly positive value. Bullock/Powell or Maxi + 2 seconds or a heavily protected 1 should be more than enough... The Hawks get 2 veterans expiring, who can play good minutes + a Draft compensation, seems like a very good booty..
would you do it..??
is it defensively mobile enough to fit into our system?

I think a team like Cha or Tor or Bos beats our offer if Atl decides to shop Clint. However, I would be fine with Bullock/Powell for CC. I’d then want a big wing that can be a good small ball C for closing/change up lineups. Best if they were starting quality to move DFS down to the 3. This player wouldn’t have to be bulky though. Best if we can get a decent ball handler from the role.

I don't think Capela is seen as a valued contract. He's had a very down season. Hawks also seem to prefer Okongwu anyways.
I think there might be something here involving Bogdan+Capela for THJ+Bertans
Hawks basically swap Capela's contract (3 yrs/65 mil for Bertans (3 yrs/49 mil) and also swap Bogdan for THJ who fill similar roles who is also on a cheaper contract.

I can't imagine we could get away with that. I would be happy to add our 2022 first and still don't think it would be enough.

I am definitely low balling here. Capela is more useful than Bertans. That alone makes this trade unrealistic.
But I think a general framework around those guys will work. Maybe swap Bertans with Maxi.

Gotta upgrade Kleber...draft picks/G-League prospects, start trying to develop bigs who can be the new 3 and D PF/C. It won't be easy but they have to start the process.
He is shooting poorly but they have no choice but to keep playing him, especially in crunchtime. Even at his worse point, defenses still have to respect the threat of a three from him more than Powell. Although if I'm opposing teams, I leave him wide open and let him shoot until he can make you pay. I think that's what defenses will do in the playoffs.

He is in a bad slump. He will break out of it. You compared Bullock to Klay in the game thread, but Maxi and Bullock have shot the same from 3 this year and last. They both have had their tough runs. Maxi is definitely more important from a defensive standpoint and I would argue harder to replace.

I wanted to see how the Dinwiddie emergence has affected Brunson now that there's at least a 10 game sample size. In the last 10 games that the two have played together:
Dinwiddie: 30.8 MIN / 19.6 PTS / 4.2 AST / 3.2 RBS / +36
Brunson: 32.9 MIN / 15.4 PTS / 3.0 AST / 3.2 RBS / +15
Now for the 10 games prior...
Brunson: 35.5 MIN / 18.5 PTS / 4.6 AST / 3.8 RBS / +46
Also, JB went from 13.7 FGA to 12.3 and 4.1 3PA to 3.1

Not bad, imo. Would also like to see a comparison like this with Dinwiddie and Luka.

Was really nice to see the defense show back up last night. The way they handled KAT seemed night and day compared to Embiid. Doubles came as soon as his back was turned to the basket and the rotations started before he started to swing the ball. Prince made us pay a little bit for the strategy but we executed it as well as we could have. Also noticed that we through doubles at Edwards as well which was interesting.

Thanks! That's way more adjustment than Brunson, it seems to me. I think it's safe to say the trio is still in the learning phase of this experiment, and the team already looks more primed for competition to me.

Lot of factors really. Luka went on that heater for about a week, prior to Dinwiddie getting inserted and Luka has had two maybe three off games the last 10 days. Plus Reggie has missed some time during that stretch, which I believe may be the biggest factor of all. I think he's the one that makes it all work (and DFS). But without RB, you're forced to start Dinwiddie and I don't think the team is at it's best then.
