Maybe two of them if they want to keep Brunson. Draft night will be interesting. We'll have our 2022 pick to pair with Josh Green and up to 30 mil in expiring if we wanted to take on a longer contract but at a smaller number to cut costs that way so while I agree with you that one of those three dudes (or more) is gone, I think there's other paths this summer to creating space.

Can we just start drafting well instead, please?

Lopez sure looked good against us the other day.

So I would probably like to keep Bullock starting. What do you think? How he is playing, I want to continue to pair him with Luka. Bring Maxi off the bench. That does complicate the Bertans minutes though.
It is going to be interesting to see how our front court minutes play out. We went to too many average centers to probably too few average centers.

Just pointing out that we'll have some more desirable assets to move at that time and maybe go after someone who is a little more impactful than what we could have today.

I know there will be mix and matching but a Bertans/Chriss pairing off the bench doesn't feel great. Maybe Maxi gets 10-15 minutes at center? Do you think they can still find 15 minutes for Josh Green? I hope they can, but it may be tough. (02-10-2022, 05:48 PM)Chicagojk Wrote: I am just spitballing and trying to envision lineups. I think they will be playing small ball from now on, with Luka or DFS playing the PF. Powell will start, Kleber of the bench

RIP to Maxi's body. He already couldn't handle his current load.

I think the minutes for Green will open at SF because Maxi and Powell will take most of center minutes and PF spot will be available for DFS or Luka.

Maybe we can re-sign WCS

I think Dinwiddie will take Burke/Ntilikina minutes. Against Philly, for example, they played 19 minutes together. Luka had 40 and Brunson almost 39 - so Dinwiddie takes some of that too.

My thinking is that they got Bertans specifically to avoid playing DFS so much at the 4. I do think Kleber will play MORE 5 (with Bertans, while Powell sits), but my guess (when all are available) is: Luka Brunson DFS Kleber Powell with the bench being: Dinwiddie Bullock Bertans and either Chriss or Green, depending on the opponent. I think Burke and Ntilikina are both done. I don't even know what has been going on with SBrown, for that matter. Gonna be interesting to see how it all shakes out.

The Bertans problem is that I have a hard time wanting to give him minutes with Luka from a defensive standpoint, much less along Luka and Jalen. Kind of wondering if he'll be able to get wide open looks with the defensive liabilities of our two best shot creators.
