And IF this quoted portion is true, then I agree, Simmons isn't an option. It might very well be the case, but do we know for sure?
Actually, I think it was Simmons' agent who put this statement out. Back last pre-season when it became obvious there was a disconnect between Simmons and PHL, there was a lot of talk about who would make the trade (which is still ongoing) Simmons' PR team came out with the statement that he wanted his own team, or words to that effect.

While it would be nice to open up a roster spot for Chriss, i'm not sure it happens right now. Its just bad timing with the trade deadline a month away.
We could cut dead weight like WCS, but his salary will be useful for trades. Frank does seem like the only realistic money option, but he deserves a spot too.
I really like Chriss and what he brings to this team. In a perfect world you take him over WCS or Moses. Probably even Boban or Powell.

Notice the "lesser extent" in my statement. I'm still not losing any sleep over players that far down the rotation.

Who would do a Maxi+WCS for Myles Turner as a base trade?

That opens up a spot for Chriss too. Would be sad to see Maxi and his shooting go, but adding Turner to this defense could change things. What about the Turner fit w/ Porzingis?
In another thread i mentioned it could be THJ or Porzingis as the base for Turner.

It's kind of crazy that we went through all these narratives as to why the team was playing so poorly when in reality it really was just a matter of the shooting coming around from the key guys we needed it from (namely DFS, Reggie and Maxi). This team was showing signs of improved defense even when we were losing and now that our guys are really figuring it out we're looking elite.
I'm kind of obsessed with the idea of flipping Hardaway and a couple FRPs (whether it's '27 and '29 or '25 and '27) for Jerami Grant. Seems to make sense on both sides. Hardaway still has value but we need to prioritize Brunson next to Luka going forward.
Would still be in favor of moving KP for a center that better fits what we're trying to do on offense because while I think he's been much improved on that side of the floor, still am worried about defenses isolated him (and Luka for that matter) in half court sets.
This all seems to be rounding into form though...build a defense around Luka and trust that he can create enough open looks on the other end to outscore our opponent seemed be the thought on paper and now it's coming to fruition.

And would you guys be open to including Josh Green making it a 3 for 1?
Would have been such an easy yes even just a week ago.
You have to include something else of value to get a for-sure starter. That makes the most logistical sense with that first rounder still tied up with the Knicks

This team has looked best without Kristaps, while receiving nothing from Hardaway. Finding a way to flip those guys for a Myles Turner or Jerami Grant would be nice. Add some shooting and we're getting somewhere.

I wouldn't include JG I don't think.
I personally am not so enamored with MT....so I wouldn't want to spend lots of good assets on him. Giving up Maxi would be hard enough for me personally because we know the fit.

After this winning streak I would say that we should be forming trades with some combo of the following:
KP
Hardaway
WCS
Burke
S. Brown
Picks
Guys like Maxi just aren't that easy to find and he's so important to our success. Really have changed my mind on Josh Green at this point, just seemed like he needed some confidence more than anything else (and still kind of needs a more reliable outside shot).

I´d assume it would be Turner + Lamb for THJ + Kleber (or Powell)
We free up minutes for Green, Brown, Ntilikina, but also get some veteran insurance with Lamb, future cap flexibility going forward and some injury insurance.
Turner has been stinking it up a bit lately.

Mavs state media. Clearing dead cap is “roster malpractice”.

It's gotta be KP/Brunson for Levert/Turner. Rebounding would be an issue just as our offense would take another hit, but defensively it's another step forward with Levert having the size to at least switch and do a decent job.
Luka/Ntilikina
Levert/Green
Bullock/Hardaway
DFS/Kleber
Turner/Powell

Do you feel as if he's been playing like dead cap recently?
