Certainly, it's not fair, but the Los Angeles Lakers get infinitely more media coverage than teams like the Dallas Mavericks.

I've watched at least 5 or 6 hours of coverage breaking down Luka's first game, not a great one by his standards as he shook off the rust of not playing since 12/25.
These commentators have given me a greater appreciation of various nuances of Luka's game I never noticed nor had called to my attention.
Closely analyzed were laser passes, after drawing the defensive attention of two or three players as he attacks the paint, leading to wide open shots.
Then, through still photography, most of Luka's passes were declared "no look," as typically, his eyes were focused on someone other than the pass recipient. Time and again defense moved toward the focus of his eyes as he passed elsewhere.
Because of the defensive attention he draws, Luka can easily make almost any player near 7' a lob threat.
What I'm trying to say is that Laker management had a better appreciation and understanding of what Luka actually brings to the game than the Mavs management, thus their eagerness to make the trade.wab
