The Los Angeles Clippers are trading PJ Tucker, Mo Bamba, a future second-round pick and cash to the Utah Jazz for Drew Eubanks and Patty Mills, sources tell me and

Good salary dump for the Clippers. Puts them back in the game with trades, buyouts, etc.

The trade not only brings the LA Clippers below the luxury tax but gives them optionally at the deadline and buyout market.
The Clippers are now $4M below the tax and have enough flexibility below the first apron.
Tucker, Bamba and Mills are on expiring contracts.
Eubanks has a $5M non-guaranteed salary next year.

I think Tucker is retired....he may just not know it yet
This may be getting close to the end of Bamba. Traded to the Lakers, Min with the Sixers and min with the Clippers. If he would have had anything, it would have shown at one of these stops. He may get another few chances, but it is probably doubtful he is a trusted rotation player again. These center prospects are so hard to figure out. Skillwise, he and Lively are pretty compatible. Lively is a much better leader though. And Lively has focused on the non sexy stuff knowing the rest can come later if you get the boring stuff right first. Bamba wanted to show everyone that he could shoot when he entered the league.
