I know. Earth shattering trade here.

Being serious, I do think this is a sneaky good move by the Nuggets. They were sorely missing a backup big in the mold of Plumlee and while McGee is still McGee, he's an athletic big that can sorta fit that role. 

They also got him basically for free.

Not sure if McGee is better than Hartenstein. I guess he brings some vet experience.
