I would give Green 15 minutes most of the games to develop in any case. I don't think that would have such a negative impact on team performance.

When looking at the entirety of this situation, and not just the last game, it seems clear to me that Iwundu and Green are getting significantly more time than they would have, and Terry has gotten 1-2 stretches of time in games that were undecided.

Thank GOD Carlisle shortened the rotation is this one though, because the team desperately needed a win.

Well turns out now that the actual reason has been reported, I actually agree with Porter Jr. Maybe he went over the top, but the Cavs caused this with their poor decision-making.

They just moved his locker without telling him to make room for Prince. Imagine we had moved Luka´s locker without telling him to make room for James Johnson. Confused Locker is the same as number. That´s disrespectful.

I can agree, but I am also sure that wasn't an isolated incident. And even though it is disrespectful, a mature person doesn't shout and throw stuff to deal with a situation.

Sure. At the same time, do you need to throw gasoline on the fire, when you know Porter Jr. is a hot head. Even if you want to trade him due to his (potential) character issues you are not trying to showcase them. If they just gave Prince a different locker, nothing happens. This is basically all the Cavs own doing.

Giannis made a mistake. He simply isn´t good enough to win it all as long as he cannot make a jumpshot. It´s not about the supporting cast. Middleton and Holiday are good 2nd/3rd options. Problem is that when it matters most Giannis isn´t a 1st option.

Yes, I totally agree.

By this time next year, "Giannis isn't good enough to get it done" will be the national narrative on him, just like it is with all these guys, eventually - until they win one. The problem is that he just signed with a terrible franchise in a terrible city and I don't think he'll ever get there. Terrible, terrible mistake, imo.

Yet, it is impossible to convince a two time MVP (or make him accept) that he is a second fiddle at best. That's why Giannis to Dallas was never going to work.

Donovan Mitchell went absolutely off tonight.

36 piece serving the Jazz their 7th straight win.

I don't know. If Giannis ever figures out the inside-out game, like bigs of yesteryear, I think he's good enough alone to win it all. He needs to play like Shaq and sit in the post.

I just see all these critiques of Giannis and how people say he can't win it all and it just reminds me of Dirk in the early 2000s when they kept calling him soft.  I'm rooting for him

Oh also, did anyone catch the Warriors Knicks game?

One of the worst refereed games in a long time, and thats saying something. Nearly 80 combined FT's were shot!!! And also a ref decided to eject Green for yelling at his own teammate. Take a look

No other of the major sports in the USA has to deal with a problem like this. Sure the refs are bad in NFL/MLB/NHL and miss a call here or there (Dez caught the ball I will say it to this day), but they're never this consistently HORRIBLE every game.

It really is crazy.
Main reason I just cant watch as many games as I used to. Plenty of free time at the moment but it's a chore to actually watch Mavs games now much less other teams. I used to watch every illegal stream I could get my hands on

Caught this earlier and the situation is terrible and probably not fixable.  You also have the problem of stars being officiated differently from the majority of players in the league, NBRA and certain officials holding grudges against certain players/teams/owners (cough Cuban/Mavs cough) and other horseshit like letting smaller players beat the shit out of big players without assessing fouls.  I'd say change the foul-out rule but there is no chance that happens as the NBA wants the game to speed up, not slow down for viewership purposes.

As refs are playing their games within NBA beside "coach challenge" "eject a reff challenge" should be available too Big Grin

It's pretty easy for players to force their way off of teams now even with long-term contracts though. I think there's a very real possibility this happens with Giannis in a few years.

People talked mad shit about Dirk before he finally broke through and Giannis is still much younger than Dirk was in 2011.

Maybe this is my Mavs-colored bias, but Dirk had much more of an all-around offensive game. I just think Giannis is like Shaq, or at least like Amari Stoudemire. They have built the team like he is LeBron. He’s not a point forward now, and I don’t know that he ever will be. He’s just not a dude you can throw the ball to and ask to win the game for you during the last three minutes of close battles in the playoffs.

Just my opinion, but I think he needed to team up with someone.
