Normally he couldn't be aggregated so soon after being traded. But I believe the rules were modified this year because of the unusual COVID circumstances, so I do think it's legal. That deal is just my guess, though.

Here is my guess, assuming Philly does Simmons+Maxey. It makes a lot of sense for them to keep Green.
Hou: Simmons, Maxey, Scott
Phi: Harden, Tucker
3rd Team: Philly needs to send additional 2.3 mil of salary out. It could also be Scott to this team as Houston would like to reduce bill as much as possible

In all seriousness, though, Houston is so dysfunctional right now that there's a good chance any big-name player they get in a deal will also want out. It won't surprise me if they eventually end up committing to a rebuild and moving a guy like Simmons for even more picks.

I know the likelihood of such a scenario is near zero, but Simmons in Dallas would be such a freaking monster of a lineup. He'd be an incredible Draymond Green like player here.
