RE: AROUND the NBA: Kawhi OUT with injured ACL | CP3 in COVID protocols - Fuerza1 - 06-20-2021

40-point triple-double for Booker in a WCF win. Remember when he was a losing, empty stats player?

Karl Anthony Towns has to be watching and wondering what he needs to do to get out of Minnesota.

Good showing from Booker. I agree, he has taken some steps.

I think Phoenix fans should be a little concerned that Batum was +6 and Ayton was -7. That might indicate that the LAC small ball is STILL causing problems, even in this series.

Suns are just a complete team...I'd be shocked if they're not the champs. Two great perimeter scorers/playmakers, strong center play, forwards who can defend and shoot, great coaching, depth.

Yeah, but we have "a" Booker (+), and we have a "near" Aden (at least around the basket).  What  we need is to poach whoever is the Architect of the Sun's offense....  Love that motion/ dive and cut /pop offense.

Same clowns who dubbed Dirk, Dirk NoWinZki.

I believe this to be true... It's why James Jones won Executive of the Year.   But Kawhi was out, that counts for something...

I mean the Clips without Kawhi are a different animal...

Any interest in Kuzma. If he's cheap... I don't hate trading for him. He can score. He doesn't fit with Lebron and AD for sure. Not the best defender.

Kind of a nut. But he's got some game. As long as you don't have to count on him haha.

Yes, but these same Kawhi-less Clipps won the last two games against the Jazz.

I hate Kuzma's game. I think he's pretty much garbage. I cheered whenever he stepped on the court for the Lakers, because I knew bad things were going to happen for them.

I just think the Clips had the personnel to force mismatches against the Jazz.

Their shooters also got cold at the wrong time and Mitchell got injured. Had the Jazz been healthy I don't think the Clips win the last 2 games.

Okongwu is already one of the best pick and roll defenders in the league. Will only get better in the future. Hawks are blessed with young talent but also have to manage the payroll. Really hard to tell what they will do.

RE: AROUND the NBA: Kawhi OUT with injured ACL | CP3 in COVID protocols - dirkfansince1998 - 06-20-2021

Trae Young is 1-12 from the floor. Hawks lead. Doc Rivers has to be the worst x´s and o´s coach in the league. Runs lineups with 2-3 non shooters. Calls for Harris post ups with Simmons and Howard clogging the paint. The last play of the quarter has to be among the worst play calls of all time. Three 76ers players ended up in the same corner. Ball at the top of the key. No ball or player movement. Late shot clock, Desperation three.

RE: AROUND the NBA: Kawhi OUT with injured ACL | CP3 in COVID protocols - Scott41theMavs - 06-20-2021

I need for the Sixers to win this crap if for no other reason than to give the Mavs' new GM the flexibility to go after Collins. No way the Hawks let him go if they reach the Finals. Also wish the best for Seth.

This is some ugly basketball tho.

Even with Simmons and Howard on the bench the 76ers have no spacing. I don´t get it. No need for some of the cuts and attempts to establish position in the dunkers spot. Embiid posting up. Harris in the dunkers spots. Thybull cutting to the basket. They end up with three guys in the paint. Hawks can double without leaving anyone open. Embiid throws a terrible pass. Hawks intercept it and score in transition.

Maybe Danny Green is more important than we all realized.

Poor Joel. Has to save his team nearly all by himself on half of a meniscus.

Dammit. Bye-bye Collins.

RE: AROUND the NBA: Kawhi OUT with injured ACL | CP3 in COVID protocols - DrMav - 06-20-2021

If there is anything good that comes from this, Trae Young better realize he needs a better barber if he’s gonna be in a conference finals.

RE: AROUND the NBA: Kawhi OUT with injured ACL | CP3 in COVID protocols - SwisherPrice - 06-20-2021

The Hawks just have so much firepower. When Lou Williams is a luxury, you know you've got plenty of offense. I think they might be able to beat the Bucks. It's going to look similar to this series...the Bucks offense can get stale and then Trae just takes over and gets buckets any way he wants or gets it to one of their other shooters

Trae/Huerter/Collins/Gallinari/Lou

That is just very difficult to beat in a 7-game series.
