The Blazers are currently 41-30. If they lose to the Nuggets on Sunday, they will be 41-31.
The Lakers are currently 40-30. If they beat the Pacers on Saturday and the Pelicans on Sunday, they will be 42-30.
42-30 is better than 41-31.

The Lakers are currently 40-30. If they beat the Pacers on Saturday and the Pelicans on Sunday, they will be 42-30.
42-30 is better than 41-31.
If the Lakers beat the Pacers today, the Blazers will have a lot to play for. I think Denver will rest their starters last game which will lead to a Blazers win. If the Clippers somehow manages to beat the Thunder, who lost 23 of the last 24, will get back to 3rd seed.

1. Mavs win because its the Tpups.
2. Clips win cause you can’t out tank a supertanker.
3. Portland wins cause it’s a home game. Besides, the NBA wants the Lakers in the play in so someone will watch it. You can expect all the calls to go Blazers’ way.
Mavs get the Nuggets.

I read the article. He doesn't shoot well enough to keep defenses honest. His defense is ok, but he's not as good as RoCo who plays the same spot. Also, Norman Powell can score, so it made him expendable.

Clippers tried to play 5D Chess, wether it was on purpose or not.
- probably ending up with Portland (they always did well vs. them)
- making sure no Lakers - Clippers 1st round
- forcing Denver in a must lose situation unless they want to play the Lakers, which automatically puts Lakers into play in.
They basically make sure Lakers going to have to play in the play in by their tank. And tried to avoid them. Also in the end who knows, if it isn't much better to play the Lakers early on. If they struggle in the 1st round or play in, and play much better later on, the Clippers screwed themselves in epic fashion.
