Pouring one out for a legend right now, I always liked him in his stint here

Vince is one of the players I respect the most...good player and teammate who had a long productive career...

Shame that Gobert ruined his final season because Gobert wanted to be an idiot...

Wish we could have got him a chip in 2014. That shot he hit was legendary and woulda been full circle for his career having been hated on and dubbed the usual (lazy, not clutch, blah blah) because he never played with a mature, healthy all star, didn't have ref help or renown coaches during his prime and Dirk woulda got his second ring to redeem for 06/07 robbery/failures.

What did Gobert do?

Not a proper Vince tribute thread without this clip. My bad

Sucks to see him end his career this way.

Man, what a brutal year for him so far. First, his childhood friend Kobe passed away on his birthday and now this.

With that said, he'll always be one of my favorite players to watch growing up (him, Dirk, Iverson, Tmac) and I'm also just glad to have seen him and Dirk become teammates. Something I'll never forget.

CALLING DanSchwartzman

Hey, DanS. I think it was you who last (over on Fish's old site) ran the numbers...I think, about a year ago.... on the combined scoring numbers of Dirk, Vince, & Pierce. At the time, they were in 2nd place, representing their draft group, but only a relatively few points away from 1st place. Did they get to 1st by the end of the season....or have they made it this season with only Vince contributing?

They got to 1st place last season. Anything Vince did this season was gravy

Thanks, MrGoat. One day soon I'll dig out the numbers and post them (appears that we, as fans, will have plenty of time to do such trivia). Sad

Unfortunately, Lebron's class still has a shot.  Number to beat 83,685.
