RE: NBA Trade Rumors | DET has made Kennard available for trade? - ClutchDirk - 01-31-2020

Shams Charania of The Athletic and Stadium reported the Pistons are looking for a "lottery-level" pick in exchange for Rose, who is in the midst of an excellent season in Detroit. Rose is averaging 18.9 points and 6.0 assists while knocking down a career-high 49.8 percent from the field.

The teams playing at lottery level want nothing to do with Rose...

Yeah that's ridiculous
He just signed a 2 year deal at around 7.5 mil per.
No one is giving up anything of major value

Clint Capela would be exactly the type of center to put next to KP.

He's basically Andre Drummond, but better defense and doesn't take dumb shots. And he's on a reasonable contract. But there's no way Houston trades him. They're already playing 7 deep and if they trade their last big man then its basically equivalent to raising the white flag and blowing it up.

Unless they use Clint to get another star, which is something Houston is always trying to do.

Wouldn’t that be a plot twist.  Trade CP, Capella and then Harden (NY?) and end up with Russ for 3 years due to untradeable contract.  They look awful lately other than Russ.
Will be fun to watch the implosion in Houston.

I like Kennard. He's emerged as more than a shooter.

Heard he may be looking for a Brogdan type deal in the $20 million range.

Who's better, Bogdanovich or Kennard?

Bogi has more experience; Kennard can be surprisingly physical.

I’m good with both but I like Kennard’s age better. Are either one of them good at defense?

My eye test says he is but I don’t know what the advanced stats say about it. I wish there was a realistic way to get him here.

That is just ridiculous in my opinion. Proven legit 3rd option 20 ppg player like Bogdanovic didn't get 20 per...

Athletic:

Partnow: Guards/wings who can shoot and handle are always going to be in demand. My guess is Kennard is going to look at the deals Malcolm Brogdon and Bojan Bogdanovic got last year and want something comparable, in the four-year/$80M range.

Well, good luck to him. I don't think he is at Bogdanovic level, more like Curry or McDermott. He is young though and someone might take a chance. I don't think it should be Dallas.

Bogdan>Kennard imo.

Bogi is a shooter as well. Can create. Can pass. Can even defend. He reminds me a lot of Manu Ginobli. Kennard is just a notch below Bogi in all those areas imo.

Donnie should offer the Rox Lee (a wing) and Powell (a center) for Capela.

RE: NBA Trade Rumors | Rox In Talks to Trade Capela? - ClutchDirk - 02-02-2020

"Cleveland is resigned right now that there is no trade for them between now and Thursday. Unless something comes out of nowhere, essentially, they will be looking in the offseason," ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski said on The Woj Pod.

Wojnarowski explained the team is not interested in simply giving the 31-year-old away and doesn't think there is enough value on the market to move him during the season.

Aaron Gordon's a player they've had some discussions about," ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski said on his podcast with Bobby Marks. "I think it's a tricky one to trade him now, with the season-ending injuries to Jonathan Isaac, to Al-Farouq Aminu. ... If you're going to move Gordon and you want to try to stick around in the playoff chase...you've got to get back a significant amount.

"I think, for Orlando, if there's a significant return, I think they would be open to it. But I don't know if that deal is out there."

New York Knicks guard Dennis Smith Jr. has already been traded once since he entered the league as the No. 9 overall pick of the 2017 NBA draft, and he may be moved again prior to Thursday's deadline.

According to Marc Berman of the New York Post, the Orlando Magic and Minnesota Timberwolves are both interested in a potential deal involving Smith.

There is reportedly a belief within the Cleveland Cavaliers locker room that the front office is looking to trade veterans Kevin Love and Tristan Thompson.

According to Cleveland.com's Chris Fedor, "more than a few" Cavs players feel the organization wants to make a "big shakeup" in the form of trading two of their biggest names and longest-tenured stars before the Feb. 6 deadline this week.
