Oh crap. Miller is the guy I wanted with that second pick, but Prosper has great potential.

Now its safe to assume we're done for the night?

Eh for the MLE he´s fine. I´d be all over Miller or Vukcevic now, and I´d give it an A+, if they acquired one of them. They have so much upside and fill a position of need.

Honestly...maybe not?

Still like $5 million left in that exception. McGee and Bullock are still on the roster.

After the Whitmore slide, it was probably the right move.  Just listening to Followell and Dameris on OMP, watched some video…I’m jazzed. Love bringing in Holmes. 3 dudes over 6’6”. No freaking way.  OMP had 90 college games.  Ready to play now. Lights out defender.  #1 FG allowed % on jumpers in NCAA last year. 25%.  They’ve turned my frown upside down

Has some ways to go on help defense and rotations, he's mostly an ISO defender.

5 TOTAL blocks this season.

I have reached the conclusion that taking all of the Mavs' assets away from them has had a positive impact on their critical thinking and creativity. Out of necessity, sure, but I'm feeling more hope than I have in quite a while.

Mavs finished the last season as the 3rd oldest team in the league (on average). Already safe to say that they will enter the next season with a way younger roster.

Luka/Hardy
Kyrie/Green
THJ/Bullock/Pinson
Maxi/Omax
----/Lively/Holmes/McGee

Current roster as of now.

I have to think McGee+THJ+Bullock will be packaged for either a starting SF or C.

In theory they could also use cash to buy a late 2nd. If they are done with the draft they might announce an undrafted signing.

Barnes looks washed and I was never a fan in the first place.

And fun fact. Mavs still the only team that moved players, not just picks, tonight.

Minny and Milwaukee moved up in the second round. Boston has two picks there. All giving future second rounders.

Should be about $3mm left in the TE (if used as a TE).  Repeating this, but we have ability to add to the deal and make it for trade matching.  For instance, Reggie goes somewhere as part of the Bertans to OKC and Holmes to Dallas deal.  Then we are at $27.5 outgoing plus trade spread minus Holmes.  So, still room to take on a big contract (probably not a S&T though).

RE: 2023 DRAFT: June 22 | Mavs to pick 10th - SleepingHero - 06-22-2023

Minnesota has traded to get No. 33 from San Antonio, source tells ESPN.

Via DLord

1 Was already doable in my assumption (which has Kyrie staying, and getting Luka money)

2 Adding in the SAC move, Mavs still have room for MLE.

3 Now have 4.95M TPE to spend elsewhere OR could use the 4.5M BAE too, while staying under Apron 1 (hard cap).

#31 (Miller) + Stewart ...I am allowed to dream. Do the Mavs have anything the Pistons would want?
