He's going to be out of the league in 5 years mark my words.

The fact the sun will rise in the morning is a polarizing assertion for this board.

He has the body for what we need
We'll see how his mind comes along

It's too painful to watch.  I've tried.

Robinson + #18 ?

Powell + #30?

He really might be a TY starter kit. That part is true.

The problem comes into play when you remember that it took Chandler like 5-7 years to become a good player. Hell, he wasn't even on his original team when he started to figure it out. So, not great help RIGHT NOW.

I don't hate it. He's the right TYPE of center, at least.

Let´s remember only Jalen Brunson changed teams above the MLE last summer. A $19M TPE is getting somebody paid that would otherwise have to settle for the $12M full MLE. That´s a significant difference.

Sold. TC is my guy.

Thank the lord they didn't take Cam. I wouldn't be able to stomach him prosper on the Laers.

Maybe we can sign Christian Wood for the vet min.

RE: 2023 DRAFT: June 22 | Mavs to pick 10th - KillerLeft - 06-22-2023

I'll say this: the Mavs have become a sort of low-key good drafting team. They have won some cautions benefit of the doubt from me with their scouting department since Finley came on board.

Luka...Brunson...Green...Hardy.

Not bad.

But you still need his team to play along. You can't just sign a FA in TPE. Mavs only assets are cash, Hardy/Green and 2027 pick.

I would love for it to be Grant Williams. Perfect glue player with this roster. Than Naz Reid for the filial MLE.

I just wonder how easily Boston is going to let Williams go.

Whitmore will be going to the Nets. They have two picks. They gamble with one of them. Or Denver again, haha.  Denver does a MPJ 2.0 literally and takes Whitmore and Whitehead.

I'm not sure I'd put Green in the win column just yet.

24.5M (17 + 7.5) under new rules, if I understand correctly ...which opens up a whole world of possibilities (incl Allen, Capela, Brogdon, etc)

IMPORTANT note, if you're trying to figure out who they might target -- Mavs are looking for a player that they can use, who comes with a pick attached to his leg. So this TPE use would not be a free agent to be targeted via SNT, but rather an existing contract where the team will pay you a pick. (With a free agent, the prior team doesn't pay anyone to take him if they don't want him, he just walks.) In all likelihood, he comes from a team with cap issues, or who needs to free up room to afford a different trade.

I doubt this has anything to do with Finley.

Luka/Brunson was Donnie/Carlisle - ready made picks.
Green was just a FO mess.
Hardy + Lively are Nico.

Lively and Grant Williams would be a very "we needed a C and PF and that's all we could get with our assets" offseason.

That team is a 1st round exit.
