Omg what a story. I had no clue. Rooting for this kid.

Did Woj have a stroke? No Twitter updates in over 20 minutes

Let’s go collect to former recruits and draft GG next. Or maybe someone else. I wish we got a second round pick, but oh well.

I don’t hate the things that transpired tonight.

Fuck this organization.

Whitmore was right there, we even could've gotten him at #12.

Whitmore was THE guy for our future, but we went for short-term fit over TALENT.

I´ll say I respect his personal story. He has already overcome a lot in his young life. Jaden Hardy seems a total gym rat, so I think they have finally figured out that character is really important.

Mavs done or will they make another move?

Thats all nice, but Mavs need assets to execute the TE trade. Not really sure you can get something good for MLE. I know the window is not over yet, but the start hasn't been realy encouraging. Lively is too much of a project for my taste. A gamble with the best asset

I hated how we thought the Pacers selected Bilay and we were going to get Walker or Hendricks.

Love this idea

Actually the top 9 went exactly as I expected after the Pistons selected Ausar Thompson. Black just fits Orlando, who needed a defensive (point) guard. Carlisle just taking the oldest projected player. Then Washington on the full tank, went for the big upside reach and then Ainge to ruin it all.

I’m fine with the maneuvering tonight. Got the player they wanted and created some flexibility for free agency. Lively seems like the kind of guy who’s not going to fail due to work ethic or character. Can’t ask for much more than that.

RE: 2023 DRAFT: June 22 | Mavs to pick 10th - MrGoat - 06-22-2023

I don't hate it, got out of the Bertans deal and drafted a lob threat with true size and a massive wingspan (I'm seeing 7' 7" on google). Might actually see some real minutes on this team right away assuming we don't just give Powell another fat contract

RE: 2023 DRAFT: June 22 | Mavs to pick 10th - Mavs2021 - 06-22-2023

I predict they´ll get a much better player than Grant Williams with that exception. I say Barnes, Poeltl or Kuzma.

Sources: Toronto is selecting Gradey Dick at No. 13.

The Mavericks are active in the trade marketplace to use their new $17M exception to acquire a player for a current or future pick, sources said.
