Exactly. Unless they are trading Edwards

I really think we’re being way too harsh here.

I wanted Bey too. But this trash about the front office way off base. As always.

Y’all really get worked up way too much.

If we knew green was the pick before the draft we’d have been happy. We just did it realize Bey would be there.

The difference between them may not actually be that significant.

But I’m sure we’ll be comparing the 2 for years
If there was one consensus on this board, it´s that nobody wanted Green. He´s literally the guy nobody wanted, so obviously the Mavs had to take him.

I mean it is not rocket science. Take the Villanova guy. Take the Kentucky/Kansas bigman. Don´t try to be the smartest guy in the room every single time.

I wonder what awesome surprise they have in store for us at #31.

No dude, I've read these draft bios several times.  Even watched a few YouTubes on the background while I've been doing other things.   I know what I'm talking about.

Imagine this team with DSJ, Bagley, Green and our FA prowess. It´s almost unfair to all the other FOs like New York that they don´t have Luka fall in their lap and they have to live with Knox, Ntilikina and company, while Cuban gets to pretend to be some savant based on two moves in 20 years, one of which he had no impact on at all.

I wouldn't go that far. The Mavs were ass for a long time before Cuban showed up. Under Cubes the Mavs were the 2nd winningest team in the NBA only behind the Spurs from 2000-2015. Think about that.

That kinda success isn't sheer luck. Sure a lot of that falls on the shoulders of Dirk. But as we've seen, bad management can implode a team (Ex. Houston).

IKR - RIP the whole board.

If they don't take Bolmoro or Bane I'll actually riot.

Our pick is so terrible that Kamm is gone.

Miami took Achiuwa. Still a lot of interesting guys available. Bane, Terry, Maledon, Bey, Woodard,...

This makes sense. We need defense more than anything

I am 10000% overreacting regarding Green.

Once I calm down I think I might actually like the pick. It's just that I like Bey WAY more as a prospect. And I will maintain that Bey will be the better player.

But the Mavs are gonna Mav. I'll give it a day. Then I'll root for Green to succeed.

RE: DRAFT: #18 & #31 | Donnie: 66% chance to trade up or down, above avg foreign class - FunkBoreland - 11-18-2020

Josh Green was the least talked about player on the board. He was 46.7% on threes the last 10 games. Got a 6'10 WS so his got length. HIs not afraid to defend up close on the perimeter and one of the best at closeouts. His still raw on the creating his shot but the potential is there.

Mavs got a player that matches their identity, hot 3 point shooter, good floater finish and a need in length and defense.

Bane is 7 inches too tall, sorry.
