I'll say this:

IF the Sterling Brown we saw this past season is the REAL Sterling Brown, THEN the Mavs got one hell of a deal here. Shooter and defender.

Wonder if Kidd played a role. He was a rookie in Kidd´s last season in Milwaukee. Maybe he is the new Powell (coaches favorit).

I know nothing of him except that our new coach seems to know a lot about him. Isn’t that pretty telling? If Kidd doesn’t know what he’s doing, we’re screwed anyway.

Hard for me to be disappointed in a 6-5, 220 lb sharp shooter who has a 6-10 wingspan and is coveted by his former coach. It’s not like the BAE is likely to fetch you something better.

I like this as a low cost shot at someone who could outperform their contract if things go well.

I'm guessing he and KP won't be paired as roommates:

That's my main takeaway from this one. This looks like Kidd trying to bring in his guys which is a sign that he does have some say in the decision making process which isn't necessarily a bad thing.

Doesn't hurt to add another shooter though, hope his last season wasn't just a statistical outlier

If Kidd's "guys" are 2-way players that can hit a 3 I'm all for it. I have no issues with coaches picking some guys on the roster. It's only a problem when a coach falls in love with a flawed player.
