KD hit 30K last night.

If he stays healthy, he should pass Wilt and Dirk within the next two years.

Really puts Dirk's longevity into perspective, how KD is 34 and still hasn't passed him.

KD is 36.  KD is still the 3rd fastest to hit the mark by games played and 4th fastest by age.

Yep. If KD didn’t lose basically 2 seasons with the Achilles tear, he’d have already ascended the scoring ranks by now.

His Achilles recovery has to be one of the best of all time along with Dominique.

Definitely deserves a max contract.

Not sure why you always feel the need to shift the blame from the responsible parties and mock fans opinions. Smile I can totally accept Wood only had good stats that were not impacting winning. But, he was with Mavs in a season that was lost anyway after the Brunson summer fiasco. Mavs simply couldn't replace his production and ran Luka to the ground before finally trading for Irving (but paying DFS and SD in the process). If Mavs wouldn't smear Wood, perhaps his counting numbers would be good enough to convince someone.

We can see a clear pattern with Mavs that most of their break-ups end on a negative tone. Always some info leaking from Mavs how a certain GM, coach or player was bad. This trend was similar in previous and current leadership.

Right, so like I said, it really puts Dirk's longevity into perspective!

Guilty on mocking fans’ inflated opinions of Christian Wood.

Don't look now, but Denver is quietly moving up in the standings. After they're 8th straight win and behind Jamal Murray's career high 55 pts, they are a 1/2 game behind Memphis for the 2 seed. It's unlikely anyone catches OKC, however.

KD has missed way more time due to injuries than Dirk. If it weren't for that, he'd have passed them both already.

Just want to say this isn’t a “mavs” pattern. This is an NBA pattern. Every team does this when they lose a player more often than not. It’s the most classic playbook to explain to your fan base why you moved on from a player and it covers the franchise from looking weak.

Mavs are guilty of it. Heat, Spurs, Denver. Hell the Lakers PR job on Westbrook is one of the worst of all time. Celtics have done it. Etc.

Sometimes the teams have a good case, other times they don’t. In Woods case I think the Mavs were justified. As they were with Rondo and Odom. But in others for sure they were wrong, like Luka. And everyone saw through that.

I do hope though the Laker fan base and media continues to love Luka because if you think what the Mavs did is bad, you’ll really see what Hollywood can do for narratives.

Wolves stop OKC's 7-game winning streak.

RE: AROUND the NBA: - Chicagojk - 02-16-2025

So Draymond supposedly said on TNT that the Warriors are going to win the title after the Jimmy Butler trade. Also said he has been offered the GSW Head coaching job after he retires. The Draymond Green end will not be pretty in GS.

RE: AROUND the NBA: - ThisIStheYear - 02-16-2025

This is the absolute worst all star game I’ve ever watched. The intermissions and commercials between games is taking more time than the actual games. Someone didn’t think this through.

RE: AROUND the NBA: - ThisIStheYear - 02-16-2025

And Kevin Hart is just mailing it in. No thought at all to his performance. This is the worst thing jve ever seen. I’m only watching because it’s such a train wreck. It’s like a punishment for the fans.

RE: AROUND the NBA: - ThisIStheYear - 02-16-2025

These guys just scored 15 points out of 40 they need in like 5 minutes. This is the absolute dumbest thing I’ve ever seen. I’ll shut up now, it’s just an astonishingly stupid idea.
