If we are a full MLE team, I like him at that price.

We look at other teams who appear to have the same financial issues and the same roster issues, yet they find ways to overcome it and add good better players. Just watch, the Suns will find a way to get out of this hole.

Look at what the Lakers did at the trade deadline. That was masterful. They were headed towards outside of play-in range and had the terrible Westbrook contract that everyone ripped them for.

Somehow how they pulled off the Hachimura trade as well as getting Russell, Vanderbilt, and Beasley for Westbrook.

When are we going to make a trade that adds assets and adds talents and not the other way around.

I still think we are in better situation than Suns and that our trade for Kyrie is way better than theirs for KD.

Sending all your depth and good young player who is not so far behind KD with all your picks for 35 old KD is desperate move and try to get a ring in next 1-2 seasons. After that what?

Hopefully, this season Nuggets will do the job and kick them out. Next season, Paul is going to 1 year older and is declining. They will desperately need a pg and they are without assets.

In my opinion, i wouldn't do any deal with them (Kyrie), because that deal makes them immediately better than us.

Agree with Lakers trade, but Westbrook was expiring and is younger than Paul, that's why i don't think they can pull a similar thing.

We are not so bad as the results show this season. We changed direction from the team who was builded to grow up for years and together achieve results (JB), to the later Kyrie trade (win now mode).

We didn't lose all our depth and draft picks with that trade, but our roster become really imbalanced. And this offseason is going to be good task for FO to adress this.

With resigned Kyrie our roster in my opinion have much more depth than most of the others contenders. We lack of players on 4-5 and that's it.

Hopefully, we will solve 1 problem in this years draft. Maybe we can add some depth at the 4 in the offseason (Crowder, DFS, O'neal) and wait if we can pull a trade for a center until TDL, and with that i can see us becoming contender a next season.

Reposting this just because of the verbiage.  He must be a major knucklehead off the court also.

Yeah its very rare to see that kind of language used regarding a player and their upcoming FA.

Brooks could fill a role here, but from what I've gathered he's an inefficient chucker that brings a circus with him. His defense is ok, but doesn't make up for his downsides.

I'd steer clear. At least I would prioritize him at all.

Bill Walton before the injuries.

On the other hand, you can only buy low if someone looks bad Smile It is possible that he learnes from his mistakes

Memphis situation. They have 13 players under contract and 3 picks in this draft. Most of the spots are young guys Memphis drafted or developed. They had to cut Chandler(rookie with 2 years left on his deal) to free up a roster spot for a center after Adams and Clarke injuries. They were after Anunoby and Bridges at TDL (obvious Brooks replacements) and seem to be even more determined to do it now.

If he's cheap enough we could use any defender and extra thuggishness we can get. This somewhat looks like scapegoating Brooks to protect Ja

Based on his maturity level and if this tweet is to be believed, there is no way he's learning from his mistakes anytime soon.

I want no part of Brooks. One could make the argument he doomed his team once he talked trash to LeBron. The Lakers rallied around LeBron after that and it showed.  At a minimum, what he did was selfish and immature. He's not a player than can back up his talk. He's not Draymond.

No, but if we got Draymond also to mentor his crazy though….

I miss having a tough team.  Last years team was both physically and mentally tough.  Watching the Knicks vs Heat game and seeing how tough both teams are.   Sometimes I think when we look to improve the team we are always looking for the talent upgrades.  That is really important.  But finding tough guys who know how to play and can play in big games should not be taken for granted.

Brunson got off to a uneven start, but he's got it rollin now. Game deadlocked at 93 late in the 4th.

Man, if Miami had Herro, Butler and Oladipo this series would be over.

Mavs position right now, assuming Kyrie at max, limits them to taxpayer MLE. Mavs can clear some space to get the bigger one, but it's depressing to see what they are left to work with and all the holes they would have to fill.

I would assume they would waive Bertans, but McGee would still be kept as a useless bench sitter.

So their usable roster heading into the summer would be Kleber and a bunch of guards (Luka, Kyrie, THJ, Bullock, Green, Hardy). That's it.

That's a core that's undersized, lacking defense, and can't rebound. Ugh.

What can they do from there? Not much. The cap says their summer roster additions to fill out what they lack would be limited to the big MLE, pick 10, and a bunch of minimums. That lands them just a hair under the apron. Not good, unless they can make a useful trade or three to change the situation considerably.

Not necessarily. The Knicks are a tough bunch as well. Both teams are mirror images of each other.

Man that's really depressing. Sad that Cuban put them in this position. I don't see Luka staying past next year if they don't fix this, but not sure how they can.
