DeRozan auditions for the Mavs by hitting four threes.

I just hope the Mavs play above the competition this time...
Josh Green is a top 5 Mavs player...

Hmm, no way the Mavs should be favored by 6 or 8 points, imo.  This is the Spurs.  I'll be ecstatic just to get the win.

Almost-Mav Trey Lyles is out, but Actual-Mav Nicolo Melli is in. Gotta make SA doubly sad about a loss and missing out on our new favorite Italian. Must win game.

One of my proudest moments as a Mavs fan - maybe the proudest. I was in the Atlanta airport and got to catch the end of that game because my flight was delayed. The championship season was great, but those who followed the team back then remember that getting past the Spurs of that era seemed impossible.

Poor Poetl, but the hot ref chick is back, so Luka has to put on a special show.

Drop PnR coverage did it again. And really nice final shot they got - mid court fadeaway...

Predictable loss, I'm not mad. Spurs were due for a win and the Mavs have just been an above-average team at best over the last week. It doesn't really matter anymore anyway, we are destined for the play-in games.

I would have tried Melli to get that final stop on Derozan. Demar was killing DFS the whole game

The Mavs played like a team content to leave their playoff hopes up to the play-in tournament. And Rick C coached like he wanted to put the team in adverse situations to test their mettle instead of coaching to win. The rotation and defensive matchups were strange.  Where was the challenge on the last foul call on Zinger?  Zinger didn’t touch him (though it actually was a foul on Luka). It could have prevented the foul out.  Maybe he had already used it, I don’t remember. The Spurs are not a good team, but they played hard and took advantage of the Mav’s lack of athleticism and defensive shortcomings, so congrats to them for breaking that five game losing streak and see you in the play-in.
