They might be but its a long season.  Lakers have won many games against subpar teams right down to the wire.  Thunder had them twice and lost both in last minute.  Pels lost a nailbiter to them last night.  They are good no question but I think the long season will hurt them more than other contenders.  Davis never plays full seasons and LBJ is getting long in the tooth.  The wear and tear will catch up its late Nov and they will have to play into May or so.

Someone who is having a really quiet yet good year is Noel.  He has been working hard and I think this year will be good for him:

I think most teams and people, are hoping for that scenario. I  don't see any slippage in the foreseeable future, unless a key player goes down with injury. LeBron has been on a mission it seems so far, playing like he's 10 years younger. It's still early, and every team goes through adversity at some point during the year, but I think they will finish in the top 3 or 4 teams in the conference.

Hard to believe, the Wizards are tied with the Bucks as the highest scoring team in the league, at 119.5 ppg, and are 2nd in offensive efficiency behind Dallas, with a 6-10 record before tonight's game vs the Lakers. Beal is the 4th highest scorer, in the league at 28.9 ppg.

Spurs win, but do it over the Clippers, weird.

If the Thunder are not careful, they will move into the 8th seed.

That would not be ideal.  Nader has played great off the bench last 2 games.  But I suspect we will be back to losing in the return game Sun.

Nader's last two games...

21.0ppg on 70% FG, 78% 3P, 2.5rpg, 1.5apg in just 19.5mpg.

If Dallas truly believes KP is a PF and not a center, I still think Adams would be a terrific fit on this team.  He's a big, physical, and smart guy who can rebound, set great screens, and pass surprisingly well. Plug him in as the starter instead of Powell, and Dallas would be that much more dangerous.

He had 60 in 3 qtrs, didn't play the 4th. He shot 16-24 from the field, 8-14 from 3, and 20-23 from the line.  Crazy efficient stats. They drubbed the Hawks, 158-111.

Chandler Parsons sighting...  oh btw, he has made $127M in his career in case you were wondering.  Still getting those checks.  With this season left on his contract, and the fact that he only plays every once in a while on a blowout, I think it is safe to calculate his career per game avg salary.

He has averaged 291k per game.  For comparison, Dirk made 183k per game.  Luka has made 91K per game.

Chandler freaking Parsons.

Is it his fault he has chronically bad knees?  I'll give him a pass, because he's still trying to play. Teams took a chance on him, because they thought he would recover from it. Obviously he has a degenerative knee problem. If his knees don't fail him, he was on his way to being a very good player. His situation has more to do with bad luck, then anything else.

Not really blaming him... I guess I am still just amazed that he was able to get MEM to pay him Max $ when he couldn't finish either season with the Mavs!  I wondered at the time why he would choose to opt out when it was clear he was damaged goods. I thought he was trying to squeeze the mavs to re-up him and was happy when they walked away. Never imagined someone would be dumb enough to max him for 4yrs!  I don't think a Max contract ever got less of a return than his did in league history.

Harden is definitely the greatest regular season scorer of all time. It's just so easy for him...I think he will get 80 eventually. Now playoffs is an entirely different matter but in an 82-game season against a different opponent every night, I'll give him that.

Also, there were rumors before the 2018 draft about MEM shopping parsons for the #4 pick.  I was all for the Mavs making that deal...  JJJ would look mighty fine in a Mavs uni.  I don't know how that would have affected us getting KP, or if JJJ would have been in a KNICKS uni.  haha.  It is sad when the knees go out on someone.  I should know - my knees died a long time ago.

Kings rally from 17 down to beat Nuggets 100-97 in overtime

Harrison Barnes scored six of his season-high 30 points in overtime, Buddy Hield hit two free throws with 9.5 seconds left and the Sacramento Kings rallied to beat the Denver Nuggets 100-97 Saturday.

Luka is living rent free in the Rockets minds.
