Want to make changes? I think we hurt our chances tonight by giving the Raptors hope.

I would love to trade for George Hill, but it seems like the Mavs have their sights set on Drummond. Why, I can't imagine. Everyone's right. We're missing another playmaker.

Once again, I think this is a different, and better, game for the Mavs if THJ sits.

A little more reason - we're still missing three of our big-minute players (plus Powell, but I don't count him), KP is still rusty (and had a decent statline nevertheless, but his defense is subpar so far), and THJ was playing hurt. And it was the second night of a back to back.

Yep. And WCS to an extent. Unfortunately for the Mavs, we don't have Kleber. So that leaves Boban, who's a specialist. Heck even Powell would fit better than Boban coming up.

Which means WCS is getting a lot of burn even on his worst nights.

I hope this experimenting with two centers stops now. They can't defend perimeter and Mavs offense is non existent with two non shooters on the floor. For some reason they are also unable to provide rim protection. WCS is so soft.

Non Luka Mavs managed 12 assists this time, coupled with 13 turnovers. Another 25 % stinker from three and below 40 % overall.

Mavs started with 3 shooters next to Luka and WCS, but unfortunately THJ was a no show tonight, which basically killed the plan. KP had a decent game.

I am really starting to repeat myself - Mavs need secondary facilitator. Defense was 100 % focused on Luka and none of the rest was able to take advantage of that. About 3 minutes of third quarter were promising, before everything just fell apart.

KP had good training session tonight, he's heating up, it's not all bad. Serious minutes for him on b2b.
I hope mavsluvr have enough positive energy on stock to input some motivation into his game report to lift this board alittle..
I hope Smile

I think we should keep reminding ourselves that this team had to replace at least 100 quality minutes of its 240 minute rotation with lesser quality input. Plus Tim was obviously not good to go.

This is not the team.

Toronto's broadcast team is atrocious. I'll never complain about Harp again.

It’s a little concerning when we look at Maxi, DFS, and Powell as our saviors.  I like all three of them...on my second unit.  We miss Richardson, a second facilitator/creator, and a more consistent shooter.  Teams are adjusting and we are eating too many member berries.

The whole is more than the sum of its parts. With Maxi, Dorian and JRich on the floor, you are no longer leaking in defense which should build your confidence while shaking the opposition's. Add in the missing scoring punch of Tim, you'll see where I'm coming from.

They can't clog the lane that much when it is Dorian, Maxi and JRich at the corners instead of Green and Itwontdo.

I guess we will see.  DFS and Maxi are pretty good on defense but Johnson and Green have not looked bad.  We are definitely missing the threat of DFS and Maxi standing in a 3 foot box waiting for someone to pass so they can shoot.  We are definitely going to need Luka to have an MVP year and then some.  To me he looks pretty frustrated right now.

Member that year when THJ shot close to 40% from 3.
Member that year when DFS shot over 33% from 3.
Member that time when Maxi shot that mid range shot.

We need some guys back. Simple as that

Hopefully Richardson's playmaking picks up a bit on his return, we need a second playmaker and Brunson didn't do a very good job of it in this one

I liked WCS better before KP's return, they don't seem to play well together
