They are sharpening their pitchforks and blaming their cheap owner...
Josh Green is a top 5 Mavs player...

the young talent are the picks. Dipo was just to save money.

This is probably one of the biggest hauls ever in the history of the NBA for a star. HOU should be ecstatic.

My take: winners Cleveland and Indiana. Cleveland got a young good center for a first round pick. Prince is overpaid but ok. Indiana flipped Dipo for younger and cost controlled LeVert.

Winner: Philadelphia. They are better as they are and if they want to flip Simmons, Beal is a better target.

Loosers: Nets, unless they win the title (which I doubt). It will be fun to watch how those three guys will (not) work together. Who will play defense?

Houston got a huge pick haul and remains competitive. Well, if the team will improve with toxic Harden left.

Also the fact that Jarrett Allen went for Dante Exum+2nd rounder is the biggest steal out of this entire trade.

OKC got THIS for Paul George:

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Danilo Gallinari, first-round Clippers picks in 2022, 2024 and 2026, first-round Miami Heat picks in 2021 and 2023, and the right to swap first-round picks in 2023 and 2025

WAY BETTER haul for George IMO.

So Rockets get a bunch of picks from a good Nets team (altho they won't be good forever) and expiring Dipo? Are you telling me they couldn't have just gotten Ben Simmons instead? I think these teams all overrate the picks they get in these blockbuster deals. Yes they are fine but a lot of them will be late round picks. I would rather have a star player. Oladipo is a win-now SG so I get that. They don't have to blow up their team.

Their lineup is something like Wall, Dipo, Gordon, Tucker, Wood. That's not bad at all, still a playoff team and Wood has been better than expected. They still have plenty of playmaking, spacing. It would be nice if Mavs stole Dipo away from Rockets. This board says Dipo is trash but didn't the Rocks pick him over Lavert?

Add also a first rounder, but still yes, biggest steal. And Indy

7 FRP, a great young PG that might be a 2-3x all star at best, and a vet that helped them win that year vs. 8 FRP, a current 2x all star, 2 role players that aren't very impactful.

I don't know, seems pretty close value wise to me. Hard to really compare the quality of the deals until the picks come to fruition. In any case, both of those deals are probably top 3 of the biggest hauls in NBA history for a star. Crazy stuff.

Healthy KD+ motivated Harden is a guaranteed 50 wins. Kyrie can sit at home. Probably better for the Nets if he did anyways.

My take:

1) Shai is way better than Dipo and not injured and only 22. Shai could be a better player than all 4 draft picks that HOU got.

2) OKC got 5 actual 1sts and 2 swaps vs. 4 actual 1sts for HOU and 4 swaps. Swaps could be nice, but they are a long shot to be in your favor.

Good move for the Pacers. They were just going to lose Oladipo in free agency anyway

I get the feeling the Houston is on its way to Sacramento Kingsville.  If the Nets are good, those picks are near 2nd rounders, all of them.  If the Nets implode, well then it might be something else.  OKC will have a better record this year.
