I don't know about the Mavs and the Blazers doing that trade, but I do absolutely see McCollum being on the block this offseason if the Blazers can't get past the first round of the playoffs. And I do think they're going to want a high level player who can step in right away in return. They're not going to settle for the role player and protected future draft pick pu pu platter that New Orleans got for Jrue when they still have Dame in his prime years. Realistic or not, they have the same sense of urgency and obligation to get Dame a ring as the Mavs felt with Dirk.
