Kemba's knee is in a bad way. Even healthy, he was problematic because of his size and defensive issues. He isn't an elite shooter, either. I stand by what I said above that we dodged a bullet on Kemba and that JRich is a better fit on this team. in terms of Vuc, I would rather have him too - especially considering Kemba is on a max contract with escalators, and Vuc's contract is about 10M less and descending.
My point was to highlight the fact that we are much better in the timeline where we didn't sign Kemba, and have ended up with Jrich and hope for next offseason - which would not have been the case if we were locked into his underwater contract (after a single season) that Boston couldn't get off of this offseason. I am curious why you think Kemba would be an asset here as that reasoning doesn't seem defensible given the evidence that has been presented in the last year...
Of the two, Vuc would have been the better option - knowing what we know now. I am personally happy that neither happened.
