Poll: With the current injuries, defensive struggles, and rumors swirling what would you do with KP?

Hold on to him! --- This will pass and he will be an elite player once he can get in game shape and put these unlucky injuries behind him.

Trade him this deadline in March! --- His value is possibly at the highest it will be and the Mavs need to get whatever they can in return for him.

Give him the rest of the season, then trade him this summer! --- Let KP get back and play himself back into shape/health and increase his trade value, but then move him this summer because clearly he is not the right fit next to Luka and with RC.

HOLY KRISTAPS: All Things Porzingis | TRADED to WAS
57th percentile now in postup situations per nba.com for 0.93ppp

I don’t get this guy. But he looks like a different player suddenly. First half last night was amazing despite him being ignored for a long time. Then he just lost his rhythm in the second half.

Love how he’s back to drawing fouls. Also great that he gets the technical FTs. Looks like that helps keeping him in rhythm.

All I get is "video no longer exists." Was it maybe a little too straightforward for someone's liking?

Still works.  Summary:

-At first he was asked to do things he was less comfortable with but did what was best for the team (perimeter).  Feels like he's being utilized more this year in his comfortable areas.
-Wasn't frustrated by load management but feels people without medical expertise had too much say in his playing time.
-Doesn't care about outside voices.  Knows those close to him see how hard he works.
-Injury prone?  Depends.  Both of his major injuries are contact injuries and those can't be avoided.
-Can he be elite again a la Knicks?  Thinks he's playing his best basketball of his career.  Still trying to get in a rhythm and playing with a great player with Luka is different than being a solo act.
-Says his relationship with Luka is good.  He says they get along off the court.  Didn't go as far as to say they were friends.  Have had ups-and-downs but like how they are communicating.
-How does he stay positive?  Balance of listening to outside noise versus ignoring it.   Continues to focus on working hard to improve.
-Does he feel appreciated?  "I do."  with no hesitation in the response.  Max players have expectations and he needs big numbers and wins to prove his worth.
-Dallas starving for a winner?  Says he feels it.  Thinks the team has the potential to be a winner.
-Most important accomplishment this year?  "Win a championship."  with no hesitation in the response.

To answer Mark's question, this is why.  When comparatively you make LM look like a forceful big and leave the same game injured, you might not be a max player.

"I knew he was the MVP of the EuroLeague. And I was looking at the rest of the class, the rest of the rookies, and I’m thinking ‘There’s not one guy that would be able to go to Europe and get the EuroLeague MVP at that moment,'" Porzingis said. "So, I knew he was the best player out of that class. There are many great players, but Luka is just a different type of talent."

“I was hoping he would come to New York somehow, but we ended up playing together [anyway]. I knew it..." Porzingis told BasketballNews.com. "He’s one of the most talented players I’ve ever seen. He’s just a natural-born talent. He was born for this. To see the things that he’s capable of doing on a basketball court is just insane, and it’s not something he thinks about. He just plays instinctively and [it] comes natural to him, so it’s really cool to play with a high-level basketball player like him.”

“You always gotta be ready [when Luka has the ball],” Porzingis said. “He can score the ball at the same time, then at the last second, he could pass it to you and you didn’t expect it and you could be wide-open. He’s that type of generational talent.”

Yeah, he hates Luka.

Easily my favorite KP moment of the season. Could have been a nasty poster. Instead KP gets a highlight block. I love it when bigs challenge dunk attempts.

Interesting one of the newer (and according to one survey, one of the most trusted) all-in-one metrics, LEBRON says KP is having an All-Star season.

Wonderful! Then hopefully we can get an all-star return for him when we do in fact trade him before the trade deadline. Does not fit with Luka, and we need his salary slot opened up for players who do, period.
