Need to retire #24 for entire NBA for next 20 years.

Also, have every player wear 24 on top for a week.  Can put their reg number on shorts but imagine all players wearing 24 jersey in games, would be a very touching way to remember him.

Read up on Eva Cassidy's life, and listen to Fields of Gold from her Songbird album.  Heck, listen to all her music.  One of the most heartbreaking stories I've heard.  She was taken from us at 33 by cancer.

Yes and don’t under estimate the cred that gave Dirk, because most other lesser players were reluctant to acknowledge this, and we had this legend stepping up and saying it.

Dirk’s bio documentary was also pretty high on praising Kobe. Those two legit had respect for each other.

Multiple outlets saying his 13 year old was with him. Awful.

Devastating news. Watching the Nuggets-Rockets game it feels like the entire crowd and half of the players are in shock.

Can't be overstated what an incredible competitor he was. Grateful for all the memories. Was at game 3 of the series against LA in 2011 and still remember just how momentous it felt when the team put an end to the Lakers three-peat hopes which at the time felt pretty inevitable.

Goddamnit.  I was never a fan of Kobe the player but post-retirement Kobe as the ambassador and dad was special.
